  1. I missed it and now i'm sad because i have a feeling old girl isn't even thinking about the album release, and we're too perched too soon how do you predict the new sound from the short snippet different?
  2. I want her to take the MTWBT sound further I remember thinking HM would be her exotica album when she released it
  3. A 70s flowerpower hippie post-summer of love distorted colours era is EXACTLY what I need from Lana In terms of music, I want her to be exploring something new in terms of direction, psychedelic and drowned out with layer upon layers of instrumentation and vocals. And if she had some surf-rock elements, like Kill Kill, this album could top UV wishful thinking though, and frankly I wouldn't want her to do the whole 2.0 thing
  4. "I'm working on stuff I love" queen was foreshadowing young and in love before she even recorded it
  5. She looks like she came straight from the 2013 BRIT awards celebrating her win
  6. It definitely had a massive impact, as it was the first time we got to witness the massive diversion from the BTD sound, which many people were not expecting or ready for. It was shocking and different sonically, even if it wasn't so popular on the charts
  7. MTWBT should've been the lead single instead of HBTB
  8. The thing is, we're thirsting and expecting her into releasing sometime in the coming weeks when we shouldn't even know about YAIL anyway - she hasn't even mentioned the new album yet, so there's no basis to our expectations tbh it can be pushed back as much as the label wants until any official mention is made I think, if she doesn't begin the release cycle within the next two weeks then we're waiting for some magazine interviews to create hype instead of her just dropping the bomb after a year and a half, but that could probably take until mid-March to allow time for the magazine to promo themselves/Lanas interview I just want her to start acknowledging and talking about the new project over anything else, so we can begin to anticipate the mood/general atmosphere and inspirations around the record Sidenote: do any of yall reckon Lana will attend some of the grammy events this year like she did last February? need to see her on the red carpet again
  9. I don't think she'd ever do a studio cover of an Amy song because she's too recent, and a massive legend of this generation. Lana would attract a lot of controversy imo She always seems to go for the bygone legends, the musicians who were iconic for their generations, but not so much ours. My bet is a Cohen cover, but I'd love for her to cover Where the Boys Are
  10. Her albums can't be compared imo - they all have different objectives and moods. None of them are trying to achieve the same thing as the other - born to die didn't have the same idea as ultraviolence, honeymoon didn't have the same idea as paradise, and so on. Trying to compare her albums does discredit to all of them, because it just means you don't understand them enough to consider that they are so different. Honeymoon is layered under thousands of waves of easygoing haze - just because it's laidback, does that make it boring? If you compare it to BTD tempos and instrumentation, then maybe - but then that defeats the original idea of Honeymoon.
  11. She has to have one b+w vid every era wonder which song's visuals she'll wreck this time
  12. This totally, I feel like Honeymoon was an album for herself, though not so /personal/ per se - I mean, it had stories of the hardships of her fame, but then diverged into the abstract storytelling from Religion - Swan Song It was almost like she created this album to separate herself from the intensely emotional UV era, and distance herself from the darkness and controversy associated with it This next album is jumping off from the peace of Honeymoon, so there is more room/headspace to build on something new and interesting, if that makes sense? Almost like she had a solid foundation, unlike with UV LDR5 will kick ass
  13. I agree! I think this one will blow expectations and go up as another iconic album Many of you assume it'll be a 2.0 situation, but that's never been the case. I can tell the sound + visuals will be fresh, new, exciting
  14. Lucky ones is the worst song on her discography, and gramma is truly annoying
