Im desperately hoping she carries surf rock undertones throughout more songs in this album (bearing in mind i wont listen to BAR until official release, so im not sure if your description is even correct)

this isnt as damaging to lana as love leaking, still sad, but at least we know this is (likely) the last of the songs the leakers have, and its not a lead. she should do something about it, but theres no use in rushing the era because of this

I've never thought of this! It makes a lot of sense, seeing as that album was so intensely emotional, and I've said before, she probably put Honeymoon out as soon as she did just to create distance between her and Ultraviolence. So the album we're getting now could be a homage to the original Ultraviolence, before Dan, seeing as it already carries the 'untouchable 5' vibes. Hope it carries dark undertones. If every song is as optimistic as Love I'll have a hard time getting into it. The blackness of her music is the greatest allure

The way she was describing it made it seem like it was done in the past, so I'm thinking she probably has 3 ready so far. Maybe she'll record a new one during the era? But 3 is typical of her anyway

King of creating new threads OT: excited for this seems like there will be a lot of continuity with the visuals, seeing as she's using the same director/looks to be wearing a similar fashion So even if we don't get a short film, perhaps the videos will all lead into one another anyway? Lana's already been known as "depressed" "anti-feminist" "manufactured by producers" "flop at singing", to be called a "witch" will just add to a long list

Why are you so bothered? This isn't even making a huge impact apart from a few websites making articles and some backlash from ardent trump supporters. Would you rather she remained passive and simple for the rest of her career? It's not like controversial opinion is out of the ordinary for Lana anyway. Freefalling is normal, she does minimal promo for her single, which has been out for a week, before schedule. Usually her singles drop way before this point. Quit worrying about charts and performance, she's always been an album-driven rather than a singles artist anyway. Who even cares if this turns people off from her? To be different is in her nature as a non-mainstream, alternative artist. This whole occult direction is intriguing regardless, so I don't understand the complaints.

i love love love that name, if its true - its so confident, playful, nostalgic almost, like its heralding back to some past era of American glory i also love how her festival shows all shared this same aesthetic, like we were the kids then - this video is representing us at her shows
