  1. I've never thought of this! It makes a lot of sense, seeing as that album was so intensely emotional, and I've said before, she probably put Honeymoon out as soon as she did just to create distance between her and Ultraviolence. So the album we're getting now could be a homage to the original Ultraviolence, before Dan, seeing as it already carries the 'untouchable 5' vibes. Hope it carries dark undertones. If every song is as optimistic as Love I'll have a hard time getting into it. The blackness of her music is the greatest allure
  2. Im pretty sure she already filmed the new MV last year. It looks like she was just posting the bts for it alongside the bts for love
  3. The old dark paradise, cola, pwyc, ultraviolence, burnt norton
  4. The way she was describing it made it seem like it was done in the past, so I'm thinking she probably has 3 ready so far. Maybe she'll record a new one during the era? But 3 is typical of her anyway
  5. King of creating new threads OT: excited for this seems like there will be a lot of continuity with the visuals, seeing as she's using the same director/looks to be wearing a similar fashion So even if we don't get a short film, perhaps the videos will all lead into one another anyway? I'm here for the progression
  6. do any of you think Lana cares about if you 'agree' with her lifestyle? How condescending
  7. Lana's already been known as "depressed" "anti-feminist" "manufactured by producers" "flop at singing", to be called a "witch" will just add to a long list
  8. Why are you so bothered? This isn't even making a huge impact apart from a few websites making articles and some backlash from ardent trump supporters. Would you rather she remained passive and simple for the rest of her career? It's not like controversial opinion is out of the ordinary for Lana anyway. Freefalling is normal, she does minimal promo for her single, which has been out for a week, before schedule. Usually her singles drop way before this point. Quit worrying about charts and performance, she's always been an album-driven rather than a singles artist anyway. Who even cares if this turns people off from her? To be different is in her nature as a non-mainstream, alternative artist. This whole occult direction is intriguing regardless, so I don't understand the complaints.
  9. Its unclear to me if the collab is for her record or something else??
  10. Something should happen why else would she post a new promo pic, and tweet it instead of posting on insta like she usually does for more candid things
  11. Lykke li did it already legends think alike
  12. i love love love that name, if its true - its so confident, playful, nostalgic almost, like its heralding back to some past era of American glory i also love how her festival shows all shared this same aesthetic, like we were the kids then - this video is representing us at her shows
  13. YES omg, the past/future mix, young people living in nostalgia in real life, the anything-can-happen paradise feeling
  14. that image i need the album cover to look like this
  15. ONE MINUTE IVE GOT MY SNACKS READY
  16. YALL. Genius is not a source for new songs. All of these that you've been posting about are fake, it's not reliable. At all. It's like IMDB in that it can be edited by fans, AKA you're getting fcuked with .
  17. 4pm in the UK the perfect time to save me from post-college depression
  18. I hate the idea of it being "dedicated to fans" because I know it's not actually that impersonal to her - dedicating to fans seems like she wrote the whole record around what her fans might enjoy, which means going back to previously done concepts and sounds, which isn't what we necessarily want. But I know that that's likely not what she means anyway, because she's always evolving, so she wouldn't just take a step back and redo what's been done already. That's not what she's about. Rather, I think this album will be way less autobiographical - so more storytelling and introduction of new ideas, sounds, visuals. I guess she's willing to be more abstract with this album, and thinking beyond her personal influences/experiences to greater themes.
  19. True - I think going from BTD to UV was a huge sonic transition, and from all of her previous albums to LDR5 there will be a thematic transition in lyrics (and who knows how different this record will sound too - I'm hopeful for a new direction)
