I was just contemplating last night about Honeymoon as an era closing, and I was really melancholic because I feel like I did not do it justice honestly regret the lack of appreciation, but what can ya do I guess

I'm optimistic. She wouldn't do this for no reason, she wouldn't become active on Honeymoon after months and just privatise without having ~something~ in mind... Oh lana

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

I didn't used to come on Lanaboards during the UV/BTD era, was there a different theme back then? Like how we now have the Honeymoon theme? I wonder how it looked back then -
You took the words right from my mouth! The album title lends so much more insight into how the record will be than simply a snippet of a song. When she mentioned Honeymoon, I instantly thought of dreamy, slow music with washed out hues of pink, yellow, violet and blue. The title is the first lyric of the album, and defines the mood for the next 14 songs.

I wonder if she'll post some exclusive pix for us to enjoy privately

2 MVs, public appearances during February/March, the kaleidoscopic nature of her hair, the release of Honeymoon :toofunny: she doesn't even get caught outside anymore -

I need this to arrive soon because I need to know if we can expect any new material, and partly because I just haven't seen her for so long I wanna know how she looks now -
I didn't know that. And definitely not - the producer could've been anyone and I still would be attributed to them the divergence in sound on Ultraviolence from her previous albums. The gender, sexuality, race or religion of a producer is irrelevant to how they can influence the sound of a record. The mood, visuals and aesthetic Lana created herself with UV was a major part of its brilliance, the music and the darkness and the drugs. It is undoubtable, though, that Auerbach brought something special to the sound - all producers do, they all have an individual flair that is reflected in the music. It was a collaborative effort, with so many factors, that made Ultraviolence this multifaceted masterpiece.

First time listening to Is This Happiness just now, and I can't help but imagine that this was how the original Ultraviolence was meant to sound like. Absence of guitars throughout the whole song, piano led like the Black Beauty demo version, but still subdued and fitting of the mood of the album. Like, what major changes happened to songs like West Coast, Shades of Cool, FMWUTT after Auerbach came into the picture? I wonder if thats happened with this new album. She was going one direction, but something, someone, made her change everything and rethink it all, which is why this new record is taking so long to appear?
