  1. this is so funny to me because who is making rob keep his album a secret… watch he signed to interscope or something that would be so weird and sounds ridiculous but i don’t understand any reason why he wouldn’t be allowed to talk about his music unless he’s on a label
  2. i can do the insider thing too i actually had a blast making all of that up no wonder everyone comes on here just to pull stuff out of their ass
  3. joined thursday… how gullible do y’all think we are i mean that
  4. honestly i think jack’s ballads are by far her best—the melodies and chord structures on all of the ballads he’s worked on (besides maybe Love Song, sorry ) are very beautiful and carefully crafted, it feels like every note was considered and thought about. the only ballads that i have had somewhat of a distaste to are a few of the ones on blue banisters unfortunately, like Violets for Roses. there’s nothing wrong with piano ballads, i absolutely love them, but in my opinion there has to be some sort of interesting element or interesting chord or interesting melodic choice to make it feel fresh and like something you haven’t heard before. just singing along to a standard V - vi - iii progression with no other elements but voice and piano feels familiar, and not necessarily in a good way. i hope that for LDR9 lana does work with some less cut-and-dried piano players honestly, people who aren’t afraid to add some weird voicing or something under the melodies that she brings in. just my opinion though <3
  5. does anyone know how reliable the insider who leaked the “The Rain Never Stops” title and track description is? i saw someone say that it was the same person who leaked the Text Book, Blue Banisters, and Wildflower Wildfire titles but i honestly don’t recall those titles ever leaking before the songs came out or who did it
  6. honestly i feel like whatever neil was teasing in september does not have anything to do with any artists and it’s probably his own endeavor, maybe another art book or something. i just think it would be kind of weird for him to tease somebody else’s music tbh lol. i don’t think the teasing was for weyes blood either because apparently the vinyl for her album won’t be done until early next year + i don’t think an indie label like sub pop would do an early digital drop and she probably won’t announce the album at least over 4 months before it’s out. neil is probably putting out a project of his own
  7. this is probably unrealistic but i also don’t think it’s that far fetched, but i would really like lana to make an album that sounds like Hejira by Joni—i guess NFR and chemtrails sort of do but they also don’t really, maybe only Venice Bitch is truly an encapsulation of Hejira. can you imagine a whole album that sounds like this though, ugh it would literally be a combination of everything she’s ever done in her career and it would be her best
  8. yeah it is definitely Ian Fitchuk, he probably just had his hair back or something. same nose and everything, and lana tends to work with people in the same circle so the fact that he is affiliated with gabe simon + nikki lane pretty much sells it for me too
  9. i figured i had to snap everyone back into reality
  10. also after doing some digging, i’m almost positive that “Ian” is Ian Fitchuk—he follows Nikki Lane on IG, and he also works with Gabe Simon who produced Text Book and BB title track. Ian Fitchuk is also a redhead with a beard lmfao, it has to be him. he also produced the entire Golden Hour album by Kacey Musgraves and has other credits with Maren Morris and Little Big Town so… the country album is truly under way
  11. i can’t believe lana hasn’t taken the story with the phone number down yet i hope nobody has figured out the area code, kind of would especially suck if it is a smaller producer who started getting harassed by a bunch of rabid stans on his personal cell
