  1. mastering is actually like the shortest process of making an album and it usually only takes a week or two to master a full-length project for release digitally. mastering for vinyl is a whole different story though i really hope she just delays the physical release and puts the album online out of nowhere
  2. i have a lot of wishes for what i would like LDR9 to sound like, but realistically, i honestly think she’s reached the point in her career where all of the albums are going to start sounding pretty similar. not that that’s a bad thing at all, i just think she knows who she is an artist more now than previously and i don’t think she is going to stray too far from that. BB is my least favorite lana album, but there were some songs with some really good ideas and i get what she was going for; i hope for the next album she expands on the world she built with Black Bathing Suit, Text Book, and If You Lie Down with me. the nearly fiona apple level of avant-garde and weird composition that she did with TB and BBS, mixed with more brass instruments and horns like in IYLDWM (and Arcadia).
  3. i agree, lmao the fact lana has literally never not changed an album title before it has come out—Nevada -> AKA, The Revenge of Lana Del Rey -> Born to Die, Melancholia -> Ultraviolence, Music to Watch Boys To -> Honeymoon, Best American Record -> Lust for Life, Bird World -> Norman Fucking Rockwell, White Hot Forever -> Chemtrails Over the Country Club, Rock Candy Sweet -> Blue Banisters—something tells me that whatever DNC is was probably the album title at one point but it is long dead now
  4. i don’t think the trend of including old era’s songs on new albums is going to end soon honestly, and with that said, which older songs do you think might possibly end up on LDR9? honestly i really think Fine China will probably end up on an album eventually, and I don’t think a re-recording of Pawn Shop Blues is off the table either
  5. i wonder if this means that lana is working with new people who are a little more private, so insiders don’t know how to access their stuff this time around. that’s kind of what it seems like to me i am usually a person who prefers longer gaps between albums but i was not the biggest fan of BB so i really hope it is coming soon. i am not going to get my hopes up for my own sake, but she’s been mentioning wanting to do a surprise release for 3 album cycles now, 4 if you count this one, and i really hope that happens this time around. maybe that’s why she’s been so quiet about it too and it’s suddenly going to just show up on streaming one random week haha. it’s actually kind of nice, i was starting to get very annoyed with her randomly dropping release dates/titles way too early that never ended up happening and posting snippets a year in advance
  6. am i the only one who has been thinking that rob has just been working on his own classical album or something whenever he has been in the studio LMAO… i mean at this point there’s been a lot more proof that he is actually working on LDR9 but at the beginning when he was teasing and everyone was freaking out, all i could think about was “watch this all be for his own piano album”
