  1. yeah and for the record when i said "questionable" and "not outright homophobic" i was really playing devil's advocate i guess that went over some people's heads though not directed at OP just quoting for reference
  2. not trying to be a "debbie downer" or anything in the thread (whatever that means) i'm just expressing some concerns and for the record, i very much love the new single & i'm very excited for the album (aside from that interlude)
  3. well i'm certainly skeptical of it considering that he's her pastor and she's spoken about going to him for guidance - and he's also said some... questionable things about lgbtq+ people - nothing outright homophobic but certainly strange and i just don't really have a great feeling about it hoping that you're right and that it's not that significant but i do have a legitimate right to be concerned and i've seen others express the same concern as well
  4. i'm not gonna fully rail on it yet (because i haven't heard it) but i'm genuinely not having a great feeling about that track 5 sermon interlude especially considering some of the pastor's beliefs and i'm lowkey sideeyeing some of the people trying to defend it (and failing) - emphasis on lowkey, it's not out yet (but also lana is DEFINITELY not infallible and some of you need to have that hammered into your cerebellum)

    SZA

gonna wait until it’s out in my time zone but i’m very excited
  6. it’s just showing some people (both older & newer fans) to be really immature we don’t need that here - either agree to disagree or gtfo
  7. honestly the fact that people think that reaching 40 and chart flopping is becoming a legacy act is both sad and borderline misogynistic and i'm not even saying that to defend lana it's just in general cher is a legacy act, jlo is a legacy act, shakira is a legacy act madonna is not a legacy act, beyoncé is not a legacy act, and lana is definitely not a legacy act nn
  8. huh well i know that's the song she was referencing and maybe she got the timestamp wrong
  9. oh i didn't know that was her last name - could very well still be an interlude though i'm interested to hear the song knowing she co-wrote it though
  10. if american whore is the one with the bleachers feature i will look directly into the sun
  11. well it was written by him, and he has claimed involvement in it the signs aren't looking good
  12. here's the link https://music.apple.com/us/album/did-you-know-that-theres-a-tunnel-under-ocean-blvd/1655349115 it's kind of hard to individually screenshot each song but that is where i got the info (you have to right click on each song and then select get info and it's a process)
  13. do we know for sure that jon batiste was involved with that track? also if he was that means that whatever the track that rockefeller isn't is the featured one
  14. some educated guesses / facts: track 14 is the other interlude (aljosha konstanty is an ambient artist & she's possibly reciting an ann tomberlin quote?) track 10 is the one that either has the SYML sample or feature track 11 has a co-write by RIOPY, a french pianist like @lilac heaven said father john misty is probably just singing on a track i feel like the bleachers track is either track 8 or 13 fingertips could very well be track 9
