the album as a whole i still don't get ngl but the first half + yummy is pretty bulletproof

they did her a bit dirty with the look but song is a bop so i mean i will convert the kpop stans + the pop stans who don't care about language barriers to stanning boa that is my lanaboards promise

this was a complete cultural reset and it's so fucking underrated i think it was my ringtone for a bit actually

i mean practically every album leaks at some point but let's hope it's a LFL situation where it leaks a day before rather than something like charli's XCX World (which leaked while being recorded) or arca's Kick I (which leaked before it was even announced)

i don't think we'd have an itunes preorder link or files uploaded to acrcloud if it wasn't final

leak of song that is not released and will probably not get released ever =/= leak of song that IS getting released

well a. asking for downloads to stuff that is released or is going to be released is not allowed on LB and will get you a WP or even banned regardless of whether it's in PM's or not (and it also doesn't matter if the link is posted off-site because you still asked on-site) b. imagine how hard lana worked on the album only for it to leak - if you poured your heart and soul into something and then it was posted on the internet without your consent and there wouldn't a lot you could do about it, you'd be pissed too right? c. yeah i ordered 4 versions of it but i'm still gonna wait until it either gets released or until i receive my copies because it's kinda shitty to listen to it if it leaks THAT early - if it leaked like a week before the release it's not great but i wouldn't shame someone for listening, but a full month??

yeah tbh @Kintsugi spilling the beans was a blessing and a curse blessing because we have more info and more context but a curse because we don't really have that much else to talk about and it increases the chances of more info being spilled essentially spoiling the record and possibly even leading it to leak early

that's how we know that it's called "fingertips", that it's track 9 & the track length because @hotshot2am sent it through acrcloud (music industry shazam basically)

well i mean if someone like @Kintsugi had the album and we have basically no idea who they are, along with snippets from the album leaking before we even knew it existed, it's gonna happen

i think we're gonna have the album by the beginning of february sadly

NFR definitely sounds the least flat on vinyl i will say that

i'm just having a hard time believing that jack is THAT hit and miss

if you want to talk about a great jack produced song whoever normally fucks up the mixing/mastering did not do it with that song

yeah and also i should say that i specifically have a problem with NFR in terms of the "flatness" - COCC was definitely a major improvement

it sounds very flat almost like you smashed it with a frying pan there's just no atmosphere to hear at all, it sounds super super flat edit: also let me clarify that i really only have this problem with NFR because COCC was a major improvement in basically every way in terms of mixing

honestly i think the main reason why some jack productions just don't do it for me is because laura sisk mixed & mastered them like that has to be the reason because when jack hits he HITS

i'm not a jack hater i'm a laura sisk hater - whoever mixed & mastered NFR and some of COCC deserves the electric chair

tbh considering my opinion on NFR i'm lowkey glad he restrained himself for COCC because it's better but let's not get into that in this thread

adding onto this: basically the bottom number is what note/rest is considered one beat - so X/4 would mean a quarter note/rest is one beat, X/8 = one eighth note/rest is one beat, etc. top number is how many beats are in a measure, so how many times you would tap your foot before it "resets"
