ALSO the line 'words could turn to birds and birds would send my thoughts away' is BEAUTIFUL
When I first heard the song this morning I was so disappointed I felt sick tbh. The whole production sounded so sloppy and pieced together. Then I listened to the version without the weird cuts and sorta almost kinda maybe liked it. Then I gave in and downloaded it onto my laptop and put in my headphones and fell in love with it completely.
Sometimes her songs take like ten listens before I'm completely converted and once again hypnotized by whatever black magic she's casting. omg literally same happened to me when west coast came out - I hated it so much at first, but now its one of my all time favourite songs ever

okay I think if the outro was swapped for the chorus, then Coachella would be an amazing song and potentially one of her best in a while

Because HM was, for the most part, good. It just played it too safe and didn't take any risks.
This is just straight up awful, so yes, HM is comparatively god-tier.
Personally I love HM - I just know its not as well received among others!
But I do agree it didn't take many risks and was too safe!

Okay I'm thinking what its lacking is real passion - you can hear her passion at 1:50 and the bridge/outro, but not anywhere else
Also I never thought I'd see so many people defend Honeymoon

Now after a few more listens, the bridge and outro are heavenly but I am still disappointed
She can do so much better - I just hope another track hasn't been pulled to put this one on instead

you better revoke this statement since lucie is actually in the press predictions for the top 10 and will land some pretty good jury votes with these vocals and one of the best stagings this year. It wouldn't be surprising if she scored a spot on the left side tonight.
My favourites this year are Portugal, France, Azerbaijan, Latvia (which didn't make it and was robbed), Finland (also robbed at the semi), Belarus (it's cute) the UK. I'd be fine any of the three favourites Portugal, Italy and Bulgaria winning though because they all deserve it.
Croatia is the worst entry though, it's even worse than Germany but i'm afraid some mums will vote for it because they think it's talent.
Ooh I hope she does well! She was a contestant on UK X Factor a while back and was one of my faves!
But every year I think the UK is gonna do better and then I get disappointed
