Fine China is a monotonous mess. Lazy vocals and I guess the lyrics make up for it, but I totally see why it was cut.

What is strange about her religious belief?
just seems weird how she's totally assimilated herself into that culture, even mimicking their accent; its all forced, but people have said it's because of her alcoholism (Islam doesn't allow alcohol) to each their own

I like Lindsay and have always rooted for her but the Muslim shtick and her new accent is strange to say the least

This song lol mess, I remember when people were claiming it was a Lorde collab

she changed the way i look at music, lyrics, visuals, etc., so yeah just a general deeper appreciation for the arts, that and she introduced me to several artists and writers who've changed my perceptions on the world. but with that being said ive always been an old soul anyways lol
we share a similar story

Yas this hit thread
I actually adore Edith in English. Her rendition of Autumn Leaves is the best one, it moves me so much. I read somewhere she didn't actually understand English, she just sang it phonetically, don't know if that's true or not.

EDITH PIAF
Édith Piaf, also known as “The Little Sparrow,” was born in Belleville, on the outskirts of Paris, on December 19, 1915, and rose to international stardom in the late 1930s as a symbol of French passion and tenacity. Of Piaf’s many ballads, “La Vie en Rose,” which she wrote, is remembered as her signature song. Other favorites among the singer's repertoire include "Milord," "Padam Padam," "Mon Dieu," the charming "Mon Manège à Moi" and the anthemic "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien." Having a life beset by addictions and related health issues, Piaf died in France in 1963 at the age of 47

Who else is familiar with this lovely singer? I know we have a few French members on here, I'd love to get your opinions! She is a classic and a legend of cabaret and love songs.

I was so obsessed with her poetry when I was 14-15, she's great for angsty teens which is why I can't stand her work now tbh
I've never read her novels though
