I just think it’s funny how she felt she needed to clear the air about this random 14 year old telling lies but stayed quiet about the rumors of her suing lorde perhaps because they were real

I listened to BB on my way to class this morning and it was such a vibe I considered skipping just to sit in the parking lot and finish the album

She reposted the target story as well as (from what I can tell) social media acc/pictures of the person who sent the story??? Not quite the best move imo

I get that, but I think it’s alright because this is supposed to be a synthesis of her career. Having them both contrast each other allows us to see her growth more clearly, and both are equally important parts of the story she wants to tell. That being said, it definitely would have been cool if she released it as like 2 related EPs but I think she just wanted out of her contract and they only needed one album left from her

I thot we were supposed to love her because she’s wild, wild at heart? I feel like her QFTC and part of the contention she addresses on this album is this same “I prefer ‘new’ ‘mature’ Lana” “I miss ‘old’ ‘classic’ Lana” thing… I think she just wants to be afforded the same freedom of expression we give pretty much every other artist, even if we don’t like what she has to say or it doesn’t align with our own values etc

On a side note, I think A Star For Nick would’ve been a fitting addition to the album if her label wanted her to do bonus tracks, tho iirc she doesn’t like them herself. I’m not sure it belongs in the body of the album tho but it’s definitely related I feel. Maybe on the version that included I Can Fly?

That could very well be! I also thought maybe the third is “the culture” (as in “the culture is lit” & QFTC?) or general public, or even her own fans?? Idk I’m obsessed that there are so many possibilities tho. It’s so fun to hear what everyone comes up with

It’s interesting that people are interpreting the trio as people who are working together in partnership, but in the movie they’re actually racing and dueling against each other… I interpreted her use of the song as her in a stand-off with the media, but then idk who the third entity could be (if “trio” is supposed to be taken literally)
