edit: WAIT SHE POSTED OH MY GOD EMILE :trisha:

  2. I wish she would start falling for the wrong type again :smokes3: gangsters in vegas on game name night et cetera

edit: also I’m not gonna watch the video so I’m just assuming, but I have to laugh at the irony of calling it “the fall” of LDR and then offering probably the exact same criticisms she got at the beginning of her career (that made her infamous, not beloved). like where is she falling from :scoff: the gp has never fully embraced/accepted her, to say that she’s fallen from their grace is kind of funny. she’s always been at the top of her OWN game and that’s all that matters. she’s literally a prolific writer and defining her thru spineless and ever changing  gp standards frankly is a disservice and shows u didn’t even try to understand her or her music, u just want social capital. I’ve seen firsthand how she’s been treated by the public and how it changed especially around LFL and Norman. she’s always been the-girl-you-love-to-hate Lana Del Rey to these folks

I’m not very eloquent and I wouldn’t be able to express myself well on this matter but I wish someone else who was here to witness these changes would talk about it bc I really think it’s so fascinating. maybe we could make a thread for discussion bc I think it would be interesting to hear from people who became fans at different points in her career, what you remember public perception of her being at the time and how it’s changed since then (or even if you remember it being different before getting into her) and how that factored into your own opinion of her and how you perceived her music/image

  3. I think Mike has been unavailable seeing as he’s being held captive by Kanye so if anything I could see him being more involved with LDR10 or other future projects but for now I think it’s safe to assume LDR9 probably isn’t too far off from the same sound she’s already been doing

if I had to guess it’s probably BBS but more surfy

  4. We already have a thread for this but I can’t find the link, perhaps a mod can merge them later??? I always love looking at these :defeated: we stan a queen with attitude

anddddd PSA: please be sure to respect peoples privacy and blur out any info of who she’s replying to, especially if it’s older posts like replying to her friends and family on her personal Facebook etc!!

Does anyone know under which label this song is going to be released?

Also does anyone know or any theories about how she met with Nasri Tony Atweh and decided to work on this particualr song, it came out of blue.

I wonder if they commissioned her for a song and are allowed to make changes to it as they see fit, like sending it off to other people for further editing after she’s submitted basically a rough draft (and obviously these people contact Lana and work with her too I’m not suggesting it’s totally separate/uninvolved)?? idk how these things work so I’m just guessing, but seeing as euphoria is a huge show it would make sense the network would have more control than the artist in this situation so maybe Nasri was HBO’s choice

Anyway :rip: there are a lot of new snippets on that website. Did someone listen to them?

    RawSomberLaughingthrush-size_restricted.

for some reason when I searched watercolor eyes earlier today, I went thru all the audio files (ignored the .jpgs for obvious reasons:rip:) it would just load 8 million pop up ads and when I pressed play on them nothing would happen, it just gave me more ads. some of them did play but the majority wouldn’t, and the ones that played were fake snippets and reuploads of the real snippets. I couldn’t tell if someone had the files removed or if my phone was just being glitchy which is a huge possibility because I dropped it recently and it’s been acting up :bebe:

Maybe not an unpopular opinion but---- Its cool Lanas branching out and being more ambitious with her vocal performances lately (citing songs like Arcadia, Beautiful, Dealer) but a large part of what makes her music so appealing and unique is her old-school classic low-register / jazzy head voice and I want it back on LDR9. Bc a lot of singers do something like Arcadia, but not everyone can perform a song like Off to the Races or even DBJAG. Like I know she CAN but I don't really want to hear her belt anymore, it just doesn't suit the kind of music I expect from LDR. It's really the only part of post-NFR Lana that I have beef with bc I love her more diaristic writing direction but can't stand her opera voice on Arcadia + Beautiful, it's just so painfully basic.

:true: exactly!! she’s changed her voice a little bit here and there like on TJF and Dealer and on her last livestream she imitated the way she used to MDM live so I know she can still do it, I wonder why she doesn’t? using less range/lung capacity is probably more sustainable and less pressure on her performing in front of such huge audiences but still, I wouldn’t mind if she continues to experiment with her voice on her records - it doesn’t mean she has to do those songs live especially since her tracklist hasn’t changed for years and she just lets the recorded vocals do the work for her :toofunny:  she has so much talent in being able to give such expressive deliveries, whether it’s a fake accent/regional pronunciation, slurring/enunciating/stressing, different registers etc. that’s the mark of a good storyteller, and she excels at it. it’s a little sad that we didn’t get a whole lot of variety from the last few albums or tours
