  1. Oh and now we're back to the "what season/place/fragrance/clothing/animal/whatever" we associate with an album. Keepin it fresh as always LB
  2. Wow. I just had the most euphoric experience listening to that song right now. I am deceased.
  3. poor graham thinking high by the beach somehow made it into LFL. Poor, deluded graham x never know what ur on abt but ur in my prayers xx
  4. I'm devastated because I think these visuals would've been killer for BAR.
  5. our babe Lanz gets so much #hate for the collabs on this record but I think its kinda heartwarming. You can tell its like a big achievement for her, to have worked with Sean and Stevie, and that she really wanted to have people she's friends with on the album, too- ASAP & The Weeknd, both of whom she's been close with for ages, its just so.. wholesome
  6. I hope after this #1 success fills her with the enthusiasm to make a really killer album next time around with different (*cough*better) producers
  7. Psychedelic Pussy

    Taylor Swift

Lyrically its weak... some of the lines are just like, why'd you do that... And the production is weak and the "ooh, look what you made me do" could've worked but it just didn't I'm not sure if she's trying to pull a Green Light and do something new and different.. it just sounds like anyone could've made this, there's nothing special about it or her vocals in it. The whole song is just bad but you can see the potential it had... even a great MV won't save this track lol
  8. Honestly that performance is cute and has so much character tho. It ain't good but it's so cute, it's like seeing Lana as a kid, and now she's all grown up when it comes to performing in front of so many people.
  9. Off topic but I'm listening to ULTRAVIOLENCE again and LFL doesn't even compare- and I think LFL is amazing. Queen of sadness
  10. TBH I'm kind of sad that Lana has grown into an artist that really hides away from the spotlight, and from her fans. The way she sings abt us in Heroin abt dropping from the walls and writing in blood. She thinks we all crazy stalkers!
  11. I honestly felt this way on the first listen but I realise the lyrics, for the most part, aren't bad, they're just fresh and something we haven't had from Lana. It can take a couple listens to come around to
  12. Honestly people not liking Cherry cause of the cussing... get ova yourselves!
  13. A lot of ppl theorised that Swan Song, the closer of honeymoon (sorry DLMBM sis!), was like foreshadowing the next direction Lana would go musically. I kinda feel like Get Free is similar for this album. It sounds really different from everything else on the record lol Love sounds much better in the context of an intro to this album than a lead single! #facts LFL honestly kind of feels out of place tho 13 beaches has some good moments, the chorus tho! Cherry is still a fave! Total bop, bitch! (fuck!) White Mustang is honestly perfect length, a cute short bop, the whistling is cute Always loved Summer Bummer, still do. Lana's rap verse? She did THAT. And ASAP's verse is solid too Groupie Love is #underappreciated In My Feelings is alright, the chorus goes off! Coachella sounds WAY better in the context of the album God Bless America is honestly so cute w the layered vocals and typical Lana iconography and stuff WTWWAWWKD is the song I thought would sound dark as FUCK based on the lead up to LFL, this was the song I was most worried about and it ended up being like, a highlight. BPBP honestly it's cute but it ain't special, when I first heard Stevie's voice i instantly felt queasy #facts ... she has such a weird voice to pair wth Lana's Tomorrow never came tho... is so cute and as someone who hasn't heard Sean's voice I was like really pleasantly surprised, serving Beatles realness (idk what I expected honestly LOL) Heroin, Change and Get Free are great tracks but I feel like they're too long. A lot of people keep referring to them as this "three punch" strong ending to LFL but those 3 tracks run for almost 20 mins, and it really feels like it at the end of the album tbh. I think Get Free was a good closer tho and the outro is nice These are just my thoughts obviously! I like the new direction she's gone in, the development of her lyrics, sound, content, and her voice and how she uses it (mostly lol) I think the Stevie Nicks & The Weeknd collabs aren't very good and really do take away from the cohesiveness of the album- Lana's built a name for herself with these cohesive little worlds she seems to create with every album and I feel like this one kind of falls short in that regard but goes further in other areas.
  14. I feel like this is a really natural progression and evolution of Lana's sound and lyrical content, and she's really created something wholely unique with this album. Also I can't get over the swears in Cherry, I just think it's like, this mix of cute and sassy, I think it was a really interesting choice, to sample Lana saying "fuck" and "bitch"
  15. I'm hoping that the summer mixtape she joked about comes to fruition. Especially since she made it sound like she worked on other collab that didn't make the album & this era is clearly sonically gorgeous and inspired
  16. I wonder which Summer Bummer version is on the physical copies of LFL! And if so, if other tracks have differences too
  17. honestly I'm so glad it's you and not anyone else who runs LB
  18. As the song unravels I love it more and more... I'm in heaven rn
