  3. Her best lyrical work to date it's so honest and beautiful!!! It's Lana singing RHCP blues she wasn't wrong
  4. It's her skinniest song to date VB is starved but she's SKINNY
  5. It's her second most honest song it's............... Omg....... And the Life on Mars Kanye West thing......... I guess I'm burned out after all FUCK MY LIFE
  6. So is it California local time after all?? Or a radio premere???
  7. Imagine hearing that snippet in HQ without her teasing the song so many times before. What an experience it could've been for us. The greatest loss of them all
  8. Knowing how many deluxe versions Taylor has it'll be a tough battle. But Tool fans on the other hand fuck with physical music too with these streaming limitations over the years. I see a top 3 spot for Lana but #1 is just delusional
  9. It could easily fit with the post Paradise portion of songs: Hollywood, Starry Eyed, Angels Forever, JFK and Black Beauty, meaning Untouchable 5. Totally reminds me Starry Eyed in terms of vocals and arrangement in general. Imagine Emile's samples in there
  10. The Greatest is such an Untouchable 5 song I'm gonna explode
  11. I'm here for the lyrics to go like this: they're having fun and writing for laughs and are in this together but then the evil manz decides to be a complete dickhead and leaves her for fame and we're back on track with the original meaning. Someone suggested that to me a couple days ago and it's such a concept!! Edit: K I didn't read through the rest of the posts and people think the same thing so yeah!! Lana please deliver us that tale
  12. I don't think it was Bartender. I think it was a random melody, but at the same time we haven't heard the verses' melody so maybe it was. Either way that was pure speculation and not a fact!
  13. Confirmed. Out of all the snippets it's always Bartender that's stuck in my head for the rest of the day
  14. The Greatest will be a full course meal in terms of vocals. The way she belts or whatever the fuck it's called. The power in bitterness that this song has. I am not ready. It will end womens' miseries worldwide
  15. Throat like an angel with a voice that was made of gold - that's my baby vs Californ-I-A, homeland of the gods Once I found my way, but now I'm lost
  16. @@baddisease For sweetest member lipsters 2020
  17. Yes! For example I feel like "Hello, it's the most famous woman you know on the iPad" might be an inside joke between her and Rob. Like he refers to her like that and they joked about not knowing how to use tablets or something. It feels deeply personal and is almost too specific to put in a song because at first it sounds so strange but eventually it gives the verse such an intimate vibe. I love that line so so so much.
  18. Regarding Poland (It won't let me quote y'all so I'll just leave it hanging here): As I said gays have it really tough and tomorrow I'm going to another pride march (not even a full blown parade!) that will have rallies of antis. There's no denying that and I'm fighting homophobia just like any other person here. In terms of LGBT issues we have it real bad but if you're a lonely gay wandering around town minding your business you don't get beat up instantly by groups of antis. GENERALLY as a day-to-day place to live it's really safe when you compare it to other countries - it's safe to walk in parks alone, no one's trying to rob you in public transport, rape culture isn't that prominent, women's rights are VERY strong here (we were given the right to vote in 1918! & lack of equal pay isn't the biggest issue), you don't get mobbed by strange dudes, you don't get raped in clubs when a friend loses you for a second. OF COURSE there are incidents, but GENERALLY people go about their business. No one's organizing mass shooting people just because. Pride in Warsaw went by without bigger incidents, meanwhile Białystok where the anti rally happened is on the east of Poland where people are much less educated on the topic. I personally think it's good that it's given a platform for conversations about LGBT rights in Poland. Thanks to that it's a really big topic and we deserve that debate. Many people were injured but no one was killed thankfully. TL;DR Social issues in Poland are crying for help but the nation 80% of the time is chill and you're safe. LGBT Antis are usually just talking loud but during gatherings yes it'll be nasty. But nobody dies yet.
  19. Poland - women don't even get catcalled on the streets and it's generally very safe out. Of course there are some drunk guys in sweatpants here and gays have it tough around here sometimes but generally it's a safe place. Didn't think about safety reasons at first. I'm facepalming really hard right now but the fact that I didn't think about it just shows how priviledged I am. Thanks!
  20. That streaming version's second verse makes much more sense now - her describing what she was doing before in her life and then summing it up with "so many things I think about before I do... NOW" instead of "...YEAH ". That suggests reflecting on her previous actions and fits the narrative, meanwhile the yeah version just sounds like a "it's a Lana song so I'll sing about bars because it's me". I loved it before but I appreciate it so much more now that I think I got what the hell the second verse is about Edit: On another listen I also assumed that thinking twice about going to the drive ins could be because of safety reasons? Like she feels threatened walking out at night like in GBA and stuff? What do you guys think?
