The label decides.. it’s blatant they’ve shelved her, it happens to artists all the time. It’s exactly what’s been happening with all the records she’s made under capitol & didn’t get to put out before As If-Night Time. Night Time was a major FINALLY moment for the fans, it’s a miracle it ever even saw the light of day. Given her outspokenness & the antiquated misogynistic mindset the execs at one of the world’s biggest labels have (the office in LA is beyond superfluous and massive) it fully feels like a power position for not playing the game the way they’ve wanted her to since Obsession

You can see the difference living in LA has done to her songwriting. The industry is so close knit it’s crucial she holds onto her roots or she can very easily become homogenized and uninspired. This is why so many artists tend to decline in quality after their first/second record

No, she said herself SP was a side project & the album was coming afterwards lead by HIFTB... Coconuts was picking up steam & they made the terrible decision to kill the momentum with the terrible “video” & then drop SP. Hit it From the Back was originally supposed to drop March 25th as shown on the Slut Pop packaging, album cover was already shot by Steven Klein.
