is it just me or has anyone else watched the video 5+ times? it's absolutely incredible
-
84,200 views in just 1 hour..
-
omg the video was AMAZING??? I'm shaking. her best video
-
i have no words. she yelled today "STOP INCITING VIOLENCE!" yet she was practically threatening to murder Lana???? I'm ????????
-
my thoughts exactly. it was incredible and the acting was stunning but they left out EXTREMELY important parts of the plot which you perfectly noted.
-
it's so funny how when aze*lia's actions fire back at her she IMMEDIATELY acts like the victim, calls the person firing back at her racist, sexist, "tearing down black women," etc etc yet all she does is ACTUALLY do all of that??? I'm so confused how someone can be this insane? and the fact that she could murder another person in one of her chicken rituals and her fans will still call her rapper of the generation there comes a point when the artist's personality cannot be defended by their art... and she crossed that line so long ago

wew this season keeps getting better. if they fuck it up like they did to roanoake i'm throwing hands.
-
can't believe how long 'tropical/edm/trap' garbage has lasted mainstream? they're the most basic, overused, recycled, and boring genres. thank god charli never sold out to that trash
-
omg this has to be the prettiest pic i've ever seen of her... i'm crying
-
they're running out of time to release the video... people are already forgetting about the song
-
saying "leak xyz" hundreds of times isn't going to make the song leak, haven't you guys learned that? and after her interview saying that it was emotionally wrecking and traumatizing to see all her songs leaking, don't count on that happening again anytime soon.
-
her impact. 1999 getting barely any promotion from the label and still charting. we need the video to come out
-
ATAP has always been that bitch and deserved to go #1.
-
she is getting that promo though
-
tell them. of all charli collabs dorian has to be the only one that actually garnered my interest in solo work/artistry.
-
she did this whole song in one take. it's incredible how much talent one woman can have. what's embarrassing about Dorian? her music is amazing, she's such a sweet and down to earth person... she deserves to be on charli's level.
-
what we're not gonna do is come for dorian's verse on femmebot when it's better than charli's.
-
sorry I think I got that mixed up with something else
-
I would say that 1999 is dancehall, people are saying it sounds PC because of the drums which is understandable because it's very similar to how AG did it on most of N1A
-
I do think that his artistry is extremely boring and his voice is stale/flat but I do acknowledge that it's charting because of him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@champagnecigarettes (quotes still broken for some reason) 1. yes, it was partly her fault for debuting unreleased music live without permission from the label (including songs that sophie worked on without their knowledge) 2. I don't know what deal she has with Atlantic, but I was under the impression that they wanted "XCX3" to be her best work with them commercially since she could leave after. 3. Cass/Emily/Eyelar were commissioned in Summer 2017 after the second delay of XCX World (May 2017) because of ATAP's poor commercial performance as well as Bounce's negative reception from that TV show performance. they saw continuing to fund & release the original XCX World as a waste of time and money so they were having her record writer demos that they thought would be commercially susceptible to chart higher and get them more money, essentially bringing her back to basic pop which is during the time she said she was extremely depressed (around the release of Boys). 4. the label knew about N1A, but in later 2017 she had moved on from XCX World and begun XCX3 2.0 which will be her actual third album coming sometime before next summer.

https://twitter.com/AtlanticRecords literally not one word about 1999
-
she's currently #25 on the US charts omg...... this is the best she's had since boom clap. not only did we get a massive bop but it is giving her so much more commercial success and this is just the beginning. I can't stop crying, we did it kids.

the credits were released and it looks like max martin actually had nothing to do with this song she probably got the song mixed up with another when she told the fans that he produced it
