    Remember when Lana said she wrote a different song for great gatsby, but they wanted Y&B instead, anyone have any good theories on what the other song was, if we have it? 

     

     

    my brain says Old Money

    it was Life Is Beautiful , in a rare interview with Lana (2012) she said that she was writing this song that was just what the producer and director wanted, apparently something happened and she kept it for another occasion and in The Age of Adaline they were going to use that song but there no more info about it.

    Agreed. And honestly, our opinions and suggestions will never have an impact on the outcome of her music unless we personally told her our suggestions in real life. We should all stop judging and having specific expectations and start enjoying whatever she releases.

    Yeah the "cool as heck" part is............just yikes. But I personally love the stripped back verses with the guitars and ambiguous lines about dancing underneath her "architecture." It just sounds poetic to me! I think I just don't like the production of the chorus. It kind of sounds like the HM era production! If they added a quiet layer of strings and maybe some more guitar I'd like it better but it is what it is :agree:

    If they get the visuals right for this era (if it's BAR), this record could be really really awesome :defeated: I'm dying for some JFK/I Don't Wanna Go type songs. They both sound vintage without trying too hard, imo. No matter what I'm excited for the era though :party:

     

    Side note: is anyone else hoping we don't get anything else space-themed (like the Love video) for this era? It just seems kind of tacky to me :noparty:

    That livestream before the Love video premiere where she said she had so many exciting things to share with us feels so long ago now... tbh I'd even be happy if she tweeted a song title or teased a snippet of a song on an insta video? Or even some behind the scene photos showing us who she worked with on certain songs like she did a few times with her Honeymoon account? Literally anything omg I'm desperate here Lana pls  :defeated:

    June 2 as a release date? My birthday's June 3. Wasn't Ultraviolence due May then June 2? Anyways, I belive that cause the april 24th witch date might be preorder

    Yeah, and it wasn't it recenty registered?

     

    But what if it is an outtake… Wouldn't make sense considering chucks post and it being registered. But the fact that they didn't release it after the leak. Idk

    The only reason that SoundCloud account was able to post that snippet is because Eclipse had posted the same snippet way back in May 2016, but it had gone mainly unnoticed which is what led him to repost it again in August 2016. Also it is not a demo. It's a different final version produced by another person who worked on Born To Die. I'm sure only Eclipse has this one.

    it is real, but it hasn't leaked in full, the person who posted the snippets on soundcloud left their account and no one knows where he/she is now, but im sure a bunch of people have the demo but don't wanna post, hope eclipse bless us again

    Firstly, I think that we should start banning people who feel the need to fat-shame on here. When someone is discriminating against someone else's religion, sexuality and so on, people get banned but when they start bullying people based on their weight... it's fine? How do you think Lana would feel if she stumbled across your disgusting comments shaming her weight?? (Especially when she's NOT even fat at all).

     

    Anyway, on a lighter note... LOVE has been getting a lot of plays on the radio lately. I live in Australia and I heard it on the radio the other day - and I haven't heard her on the radio since the release of West Coast, so this is pretty big! 

     

    I know I already made a post a while back about BBC radio playing her, but I thought I'd get you all updated... Love has now been played 47 TIMES on BBC radio! It might not seem like that much, but firstly, if you think about how many people this reaches each time it is played... this is HUGE! Plus, if you compare the amount of plays Love has gotten compared to her other tracks, it is also quite a big moment for her!

    It is already SMASHING High By The Beach even though HBTB has had more than a year and a half extra to get plays!

     

    They have played Love EVERY SINGLE DAY since its release, and MULTIPLE times! (Well, except one day they didn't play it). See here. 

     

    This is pretty big news. I have no doubts that if she is being played this much on such a popular radio station that she is being played on many other stations as well. 

     

    ​Hopefully she will announce the album soon and put it up for pre-order because this era is far from dead if you consider how popular the first single is already!

    Pls. Do you even know anything about dressing someone for a stage? I'd say that dress was a straight up hazard, but that would imply that she moved her legs more than 10 inches during the performance. I need to go check on my great grandmother to make sure she still has all her curtains because it looks like Lana stole one. 

     

    Why is everyone so touchy about outfits? They do, in fact make up part of an "image". It's not like we're crassly trying to find out who her plastic surgeon is.
