  6. the blue collar workers are people of the working class who do physical work. The song paints a picture of a young girl in love set in past decades, that is why the first two verses are so descriptive then Stevie's part establishes the scene. Basically, she has a lover who is too busy to give enough attention to her, this makes her angry and unhappy. So she is beautiful and is the kind of woman the guy wants but it's still not enough. So beautiful (virtuous) people still have problems, they still don't get what they want so why be good? This of course creates a parallel with Stevie (a singer of the past) and Lana (a singer of today), both of them facing the same problem but in differenct periods of time, it's about how even though a lot of time passed the same basic issues still exist between people. Beautiful people still have the same beautiful problems,. (Meaning, I am a great girl but my man neglects me. How annoying!)
  7. you are right! Blue is the color of the shirt of the man that I love is that lyric!
  8. The slut drop is always a highlight of her shows. Remember when she used to do it while singing body electric? Wig flew
  9. Don't be like that. Everyone wants a piece of the good sis HeartCore
  10. Everybody will be over political songs by 2019 when the next album is due I just hope she goes back to writing extremely sad songs which are heartbreaking and depressing because L4L just does not cut it. (in that department) Now the real question is will we get a soundtrack single next year? It's not impossible for her to score one for some movie, I just wish she was a little more ambitious
  11. It's hard to come to an agreement about something as subjective as that.
  12. Life is still, so beautiful But not really because we don't get to listen to her magnum opus Life is beautiful, but you don't have a clue what it sounds like because that stupid studio is holding it back Like why even commission a song for a movie from god if you are not going to use that song in the end Bastards
  13. Oh wow Lana fans truly lost it today. What's with these gifs
  14. Leave original L4L we need original UV first They were folk songs Loreen, FOLK SONGS!!!!
  15. Cherry deserves it's own standalone video obviously
  16. No, it would have nothing to do with that. That part of Get Free in the WM video had a very obvious meaning if you stop to think about it for a moment. Get free = rocket being shot up in the air, and the Love poster, Lana's excitement about intergalactical possibilities, the Love video. I think it's safe to assume it was just the expression of the wish to "get free" get away from here and go to a new land that is unexplored and exciting. If you listen to Lana's BTD era interviews, she says one of the main things that fascinates her about old americana is that people had a sense of "more being out there", people being curious about the possibilities of what tomorrow might bring, whereas nowadays in society we think we discovered everything and reached our potential so the general attitude is more pessimistic/annoyed. So the idea of getting away from here to a new unexplored land is very exciting for her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-NTv0CdFCk 2:57 It's all there

If any of you were so kind as to leak the instrumental I could filter out the background vocals so this big mystery is resolved
  18. Yes this was discussed when the album came out, Tomorrow Never Came is the only song with sad feels in it but even then it's not really sad when you compare it to songs like The Blackest Day, Terrence Loves You, God Knows I Tried, Black Beauty, Best American Record or Million Dollar Man even. It's a real shame she doesn't make them like she used to I want to cry to her music
  19. Totally agree with you. There is nothing sad about it. It's more just a calm song with a cool climax towards the end. There is nothing emotional in her vocal delivery
  20. the chocolate covered version is actually delicious IMO
