  3. When I say African roots, there’s a reason. I’m not disregarding braids from Asia, or from native Americans or from Europe, no (I’m from Indian background so we have braids too)The reason why I specifically said African roots is due to the fact that in america, in high fashion in the media, hairstyle such as dreads, Bantu knots and other styles that originated from the continent of Africa, from the carabean islands, from BLACK people are taken and “elevated” by he use of white people. When a African American women wears dreads to a red carpet, she’s deemed a pot head, dirty, unsophisticated. When a white women wears it it’s hot, trendy,. When WHITE models on the runway wear Bantu knots, braids ETC ITS HIGH FASHION, couture, trendsetting, but when a black girl wears it it’s made fun of, it’s gross. Hairstyles that are worn by black people predominantyl and have been for YEARS are deemed to be “elevated” because it’s worn by white people. That’s why it’s relevant to say that taking these hairstyles from people of colour, from people of African decent is cultural appropriation. The hairstyles issue is not being fake woke, it’s an actual issue. If your 21 year old ass can’t understand that but my 21 year old ass can, try to make an effort to and not to just disregard the whole thing entirely. Xoxo
  4. The reason why cultural appropriation is still a relevant issue is because when white people take from other cultures such a wearing braids styles from African roots, or bindis at coachella, and other is that society treats the use of these things on white people to be high fashion or beautiful while when worn by the people from those actual cultures to be trashy or fresh off the boat. This also goes to Lana’s use of chola characters on herself in tropico to the indigenous head piece in ride which was problematic (tho on theme) since we viewed it as another white person taking from minorities and benefiting from it. I’m not attacking lana but it’s better to love and criticize when she’s right and wrong than to follow blindly. People in this fandom need to realize that these issues aren’t small, and if you’re a minority who doesn’t give a shit, check yourself.
  5. y'all be thinking someone is depressed cause they aint smilling. smh....
  6. wow, what a holy day "...And God created the heavens bringing forth Ultraviolence..." days of Creation: Genesis 1:3–2:3
  7. wow watching live performances of her medley that she did during tour and ALL i can FUCKING think about if IS she sings BLACK MOTHERFUCKING BEAUTY live in its entirety. That build up to the first chorus is chilling. always praying for more Ultra songs to be featured in the set list
  8. WITH HIS BACON WHOPPER (eating out tonight) BACON WHOPPER (in my greasy napkins and curly fries) BACON WHOPPER (eating out tonight) BACON WHOPPER (mozzarella stick gals)
  9. Ya'll i want lana to post/release random songs like remember when she sang that song during one of her appearances at the sick children hospital with Ryan secreast. Like that starry eyed esque song. Like i can imagine it sounding like this song: And like I just imagine her soft voice over this same vibe and i gush
  10. Can we appreciate that Lana did THAT with shades of cool and that she will always have that ability to write and sing a gorgeous ass song that can scalp you and simultaneously give you the perfect wig. Like wow and that she was able to create something so unique and haunting as cherry that made us drop our dripping peaches, and that she created a new religion with honeymoon, and created the official song for the gates to paradise with ride, like, why do we expect anything less than amazing songs from her, she always delivers, and thats the tea bbs dont forget it gays, xoxo
  11. "you know that you can always come home, to the one who gave you, your name" ALWAYS KILLS ME

  15. Y'all, imagine lana had like a cute 20s era bob with like bangs, and like the aesthetic of the album was like mustard yellow with muted pinks and oranges. But having the juxtaposition of water color and depressing songs. WOW, another depression era is where im at right now. sigh i need sleep....
  16. Is anyone gonna pray with me that we get an album with the darkness of CHERRY, the climaxes of SHADES, the gorgeousness of the bridge of HONEYMOON, the quirks of RADIO AND the wig snatching of FLORIDA KILOS! the gays need to stop fighting over things that we can't change, open prayer to your life, xoxo
  17. Every new start to an era reminds me of the buildup to ULTRA. When young and beautiful was still in the air, summertime remix still bopping in the radios, everyone on edge to see what she's gonna come up with. The teasing, the coechella performances, the flopped letterman live, the issues with her interviews and all that shiet. WEST COAST was that bitch. She's the one that steals your man, your girl, your friends and your edges. I need another bussy popping, slow synths, heavy drums and LESS FUCKING FILTERS on her voice kinda production. Or else, west coast will continue to suck my manz dick, and i ain't mad. y'all pray for me, pray for Lana xoxo
  18. honestly if Change had incorporated drums/snares and like that godly trumpet from the bridge of honeymoon. Like imagine a whole album sounding like that. I remember first hearing it and that roll towards it and the gates to heaven trumpets and those lyrics and voice. She needs something like that please please pleaseeee. If the album is gonna sound like change, please make it more full and add in that raw instrumental and thunder like bass drum. got chills thinking about the possibilities especially with the clarity of her voice on that bridge. wowowoow, xoxoxo gays, currently dreamin....
  19. honey this isn't newssss, but some of the people here need a reminder...
