Her production and song writing changed to appeal to more people while still having that little Ellie touch. It's listenable, it's still Ellie but the magic is lost. Her lyrics used to have more meaning and she was writing about other themes as well, not just love.

My opinion and I think what also leaked_version is trying to say is she's doing good but declining. She needs to reach her full potential and stay steady. She can do a lot better than this. Why not try to achieve that?

This is a never ending discussion and a vicious cycle. Today was not the right day or time to leak this, I would still say the same thing even if I didn't have the song before. I would still post here like "Omg I love it but what if she was keeping it as a surprise for us?". So yes, being a part of the system affects my views but it also helps me see the greater effect. I would still complain about the leak even if I didn't already have the song. The reason of that is not because I'm in a 'privileged group' or that kind of shit, it's because I see the effects leaking creates behind the scenes. You should know this better than anyone else, you're a Lana fan. She scrapped an entire record because of the Black Beauty leaks and started fresh. I didn't mean the next album, I meant as a separate project. Maybe she recorded it for a special someone in her life and it was never meant to be heard by anyone else? It's not right trying to justify the leak by assuming that she was never going to use it. No point in discussing further though. I know she wouldn't use rejects on future albums, artists rarely do that. I'm glad that everyone else can enjoy the song now.
