So iconic. The intro makes me envision a boat moving through dark waters late at night.
I can see what ur saying, and its beautiful. It reminds me of driving down from Santa Barbara, while the skies closing, and the ocean's black. And how hypnotizing it is to watch the cars drive to and fro

Nothing's going on here. Nothing against her. Before anyone says it

But. Did u also know that Lizzy competed on ANTM? -

Just watched the film a few hours ago. Always Remember Us This Way and I'll Never Love Again were such standouts. I actually prefer the film version of ARUTW, where Cooper's character sings his part at the end. Broke my heart
The movie I feel had its ups and downs in flow a bit, but looking back rn, it was an amazing movie. I guess it all just happened so fast that I wish I had more time to process it a bit more. I need to see it agaaiiinn -
Can't stop hearing it in my mind like "Oi! Play Norman Focking Rockwell ye stoopid turd!" or something cnalsjcnc sorry if that was cringey
:toofunny:
:toofunny:
Lol no thats fine, judgment free zone hahahahahaha.
On another note, can't wait to hear this in full. Please no trap beats sorry ah -
really excited for this album cause i know it's gonna be really cohesive and well produced, it's prob gonna flop really hard but i really don't care
THIS, from what we've all heard so far, it seems to sound like yeah

About HtD, I love how we can already guess about the song's meaning from the verses. Themes of how a woman might feel after all the advances she has to go thru/ finding the one she loves, to realizing he's no longer there/ staying there and letting herself loose a bit and allow herself to rise above her worries and just feel loved/ or at least remember it
Real question's when is it coming out? -
It's really impossible to say Norman Fucking Rockwell without sounding sassy or nonchalant, huh?

But shes too good to just live in the background
I get what you're saying, but there's a kind of beauty of letting things be said on their own, and what's so hypnotizing about her work is that she pulls you into her world. It's kinda like that saying, inspiration attracts, but manipulation repels. That sort of spell
Others find the word 'soft' to be something weak, quickly associating the two, but when you come across something soft, like a flower, or how a gentle summer breeze blows, there's still a silent magnificence to them. For me, it could be easier to applaud larger feats, how grand they could be (like, people could applaud you with the sounds of oceans from their palms, and still forget you after the performance. Appreciation lingers a bit more) but there's also something so triumphant in the little things that no one readily notices. It makes those small things even more meaningful too
and when that tenderness connects, it melts, doesn't burn, you

What I liked about the vibes of both videos were how soft Lana seemed. She wasn't in your face, but still had her usual charm. I think that's how her visuals still work, even if it's just with driving cars, or looking for butterflies round industrail sites. She lives within the background but still gazes back to you, thru soft focus
-
Honestly the aesthetic in this video is one of her best ever, i really wish she'd delve into this femme fatale style more. MTWBT is no doubt in my top 5 Lana songs. Ugh
Yesss. Honestly hope she revisits this vibe and aesthetic with the next record

I've noticed all her covers were all taken around the day time, idk bout UV, but it seems like the cover was just drenched in black n white. I want the cover to kind of be around blue hour, or night time.
Flash would have to be crisp af, maybe a light or two in the background, in color. I always go back to the MTWBT video. The aesthetic

I actually loved how eerily beautiful Lfl was, BP had potential to b a classic, TNC is a dreamy trolling song, SB is fun, but wasn't taken all that seriously. I'd say that its good that we got all those collabs on Lfl to sort of get it out from her system.
If she were to have any collabs on NFR, I'd hope they'd be more in the background of the track, if they were to end up on the album. Standalone collabs would b great, fresh and fun if they were just buzz singles, but other than that, I'm hoping that the music is more her than anything else if that makes sense.
Like Lana's water, clear and refreshing. We don't want coffee, or unsweetened iced tea where the collab might stray from the water and more towards a different stronger flavor. I feel it'd b great if the water had hints of lavender or some lemon it, to bring out the water itself.
Wtf am i saying. Subtle collabs destined for greatness that'd age incredibly well.

Ohmygod I'm glad I found this thread yeaaas. I saw her a few weeks ago and she was AMAZING live. The theatrics, the matrix/net vibes, her voice, choreo WHAT. Ohmygod . ..
Cyberstokholm Syndrome, Cherry, Where U Are, Valentine, Alterlife, 10 - 20 - 40 Tunnel Vision WHAT. -
God after the week we've had with Shallow and IWYL coming from Gaga, it makes me so happy that the year's ending on such a better note musically. I've been spazzing bout the songs for days noww ..
Still. I wonder when her next self-album's gonna come out. Rumors** mention her releasing before her Vegas residency and I personally think that'd be amazing -

Honestly hey if its a standalone track, new music's music right? I'm pretty sure if anything, her team or Lana herself could help use that to gauge what the atmosphere is towards its reception. It'd b good to know either way
-
On another note, god I forgot what these were, but I remember my sister and me would stare at this while she played her music on the media player. I remember being so mesmerized by it, the waves and patterns all changing with the music. Like I know probs another artist more in tune w/ that kind of net pop would more readily use it for aesthetic, but imagine Lana had some sort of psychedelic lyric video or visuals to a song of hers.
edit: searched a bit, windows media player, visualizations: strawberryaid ah

Honestly, we don't even know all that much of anything (what's new
), glad she released the two tracks. Hope they're associated with how she mentioned the next one top of next year. Aside from that, more festival performances, more lounge and talk show/ radio performances, worth it merch, and music, wrapped in a cohesive aesthetic. That's all
