  1. SHOOK http://www.thedailyquarterly.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/GreenScreen.gif
  2. Fucking prophetic queen http://www.gifbin.com/bin/1237811334_crying-in-the-audience.gif
  3. I know it's only a trailer for the album, but it's been one of my favorite videos on her yt page. Rip to the Brooklyn Baby video, I hope ur tucked in tight and warm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxYceZpTWaE
  4. Anything's possible if we don't exactly know for sure
  5. I think it's great. Others are probably going to disagree but I like the title track having been featured by RS. Course there're some heavier songs that the fan base easier resonates with, but LFL's still pretty up there too
  6. Not the only one, I'd love for her to sort of play off of the whole homemade VHS aesthetic too, I just hope that it's got that crispness to it, and multidimensional when it comes to the video's texture, kinda like the beginning of LFL's vid. Not too sure about the subject matter, but yes, and Lanafied if that even makes any sense At least it'll be something to discuss
  7. Yessssssss I actually thought the outfit was a nice concept til I saw the literal cherries on top of her head ahaaaa. I like the shimmery bodysuit tho
  8. I'm not entirely sure. I'm guessing that she's either clipping the vid together, or maybe editing it, if she was the one to post on her insta, not hacked. Maybe it's hype, but at least we know she's focused on releasing one for It I usually just go by the sound of the track, and how it vibes. I mean usually the emotions just leak through the song's narrative but I'm guessing love n lust are primary themes.. idk much about the entire context, but she's mentioned what real love is for her, so I guess that's a solid start..
  9. Ohmygod how dare u but yeah u don't need volume to watch a video It's cool, I usually avoid music videos when it comes to most of the stuff I listen to. Just wanted to sort of share my notes on what Cherry looked like in my head
  10. As sure as sure can be, thru Lana's vocabulary, we'll be getting a music video for Cherry soon. We already know she'll be directing the video herself, with the help of Chuck as filmographer. So what are your hopes and expectations for the video? For me, I'd like to start off with this aesthetic, but with a bit more color saturation, not too strong, but more of a vivid glow. I think it'd be great if she had a lavender-colored violet, the flower, shape inspired dress, knee length, in contrast to the soft yellow and beige lights of the hotel room, which would contrast to a dark aquamarine colored outside of her motel/hotel have a scene in the rain, preferably reflected mutlicolored somehow, symbolic for drugs too, a tangerine colored bikini/swimsuit under a chocolate milk colored silk nightgown. Some kind of dark red cherry shaded lipstick, for her lips to tout the b*tches and fooks in a separate set of frames. Her lover in the video's been inebriated, and he sees multiple copies, holograms of her, in different colors, dancing around him in a circle. The video ends with the motel room unlit, the next day, all glum and she looks at the camera singing the last few lyrics, and finishes putting on her makeup and painting her nails, a heart backdrop frames her, similar to the Powerpuff girls and fades to pink. I'm thinking Justice Joslin can be her lover in nostalgia too https://i.pinimg.com/originals/9b/9f/93/9b9f933bc246cec589a39b2f5c35c377.jpg Do u think Lana checks on the site? What are some things you'd like to see in the video?
  11. I'd love more of a 60's influenced sound too. The title track, and Get Free just On another note tho, it's been 8 months since she's released the album's trailer on yt. May 26th, July 21st, concepts and demos, Change being added right before the album's release https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb1lte9uljI
  12. I laughed at the previous comment bc it is, I mean somehow true, but then remembered this one show about a flying nun my mom used to watch as a kid, and well imagine Lana just soaring in the air ala Wendy from Peter Pan in one of her videos. What kind of trip How she truly got on top of the Hollywood sign
  13. I don't wanna sound crazier any more than I might come off as, but like I had a dream that Yosemite was freakin beautiful. It's so frustrating because I remember the sound of the waterfall of piano keys, and soft guitars and I guess it sounded closest to Riverside. Wtf
  14. So we're all at least aware that Honeymoon was a touch inspired by the creature from Blue Lagoon, with its whole beauty and the beast dynmic going on thru vintage filters but for the first time i've actually felt genuinely spooked by the opening strings on the title track. I was gonna go out for a night run at our neighborhood park, and well I thought oh hey, maybe I should listen to Honeymoon on my way down the hill to run around the field. The light posts were only lit down specific areas of the park, and there was this unlit part I had to go down to, the mist was heavy, the trees sorta felt like a risen swamp, and god it just made me anxious. There was another guy walking around the park, well I only saw his silhouette but anyway, it was just so different to actually experience that kind of strange peril from the song. I mean I came out safe wth, but it was pretty um strangely exciting
  15. OHMYGOD wait. Hasselhoff was a pretty baby daddy in it. Imagine if Stevie did opera https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiCH8qCoY8k
  16. Idk where any of this is really going but. Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems remains unbothered
  17. So I was on another thread on here, probably late and all, but is it true that GBA's backing vocals are from Yosemite?
  18. Although I love the album so much, I've noticed this records a bit more subtle and elongated when it comes to the hit and peaks of its tracks. I haven't heard anyone mention Beautiful People's bridge yet, for just a few seconds right at 3:08 til the next few lines, where her voice sort of echoes and fades at "try" with the soft, haunting synthesizers over them, just Also at 5:29 to like 5:36, in Heroin where her voice just blends together thru layering and you can almost hear soft ah's towards the end, it's like listening to a group of sirens cradling you in the air I love how majestic she sings the first lines of Get Free, especially with "Finally" with the strings following dramatically almost instantly she's enunciating the lyrics. It sounds so triumphant and reassuring
  19. Title. Where does your mind wander to first, before having a listen to each of Lana's albums? We all know each record has it's own themes, so for the most part, having a different set of feelings (or not) would only be natural when it comes to listening to her songs. For me, for the most part So where does your mind wander, and how do you see yourself thinking and feeling when it comes to each of em?
  20. Truly a cult site @ the 800% pull back, trance tracks. Imagine users in a monastery, with flashes of Lana's mvs mixed with rampant rapid symbolism
