It’s the second day (feels like the third since I stayed up until 3 AM playing the album) and each time I play California, I feel like crying. I don’t know why, but shit. It’s something special about it, I swear, every. single. time. Maybe it’s my favorite because it makes me feel things but ugh, I honestly can’t pick a favorite on this record.

I’m sorry but the ending of Cinnamon is just magnificent, am I the only one who picture a short film to it?? It sounds so cinematic and dramatic, I really, really wish they could make a video for it with a small story, something like Ride, National Anthem or Tropico. Because that shit is... wow. Magical.

I’m curious to know how many copies have been sold the first week.

Lana seems happy and pretty content with how her life is nowadays so I think grunge is out of the question. I’m still thinking country-ish, solely based on stupid for feeling so happy and hey blue baby.

I haven’t read his reviews but like, if I were his boss, I’d ask him what’s going on like?? I get that an album can feel too long if it’s not your taste in music, but yikes, to give 80 to an album with 25 tracks? The longer one must clearly have some dull fillers if I’m trying to be logical??

The amount of times this album has put on the verge of crying today, it’s just so beautiful, aaaahahahahhh I was walking to pick up my vinyl and listened the the album on Spotify and California came on and I felt all emotional and was like BISH NOT NOW you’re almost there keep it togetheR!!!

Can we talk about her vocals? I was so worried she’d sound monotonous and almost bored again like she did in LFL (Cherry, White Mustang, Summer Bummer etc) but although she’s still playing it “safe” (meaning, no belting like in Cola or Ride, but yeah, that was ages ago) she’s sounding really good!! I think the harmonizing made things sound a lot better and she sounds overall a lot more playful with her voice on this album. I love this so so much, I can only hope she will sound just as good on the next album.

I’m gonna go and pick up my blue vinyl now and just got a confirmation email that my order from Lana’s webshop has been shipped, life is good! *( ^ - ^ )*

I know they don’t count, but a major newspaper here have Lana 6/6 and that just makes me Swedish radio have her 2/5 though, the reviewer said something felt missing because it has no melodic changes or anything that sticks out. *rolls eyes* Another big newspaper gave her 4/5 - if it was written by that hardcore stan reporter instead, I’m sure it would’ve gotten 5/5. Anyway, that newspaper said Love song and hope were the best songs!
