No way, I was googling this just the other day because I remembered I got a comic magazine when I was a kid and I loved the art style but I had no idea what it was about. Just some teenage girls with magic powers. I had no idea it was Italian(?).

Mm, I don't think I'll go and watch it in cinemas though. I bet it's very cute and a great film but I don't wanna sit alone in a salon with like 15 year olds around me lol. For the past year, I'm lowkey surprised what a huge crowd she's gotten at her shows. I don't mean she's not talented or bad, not at all! I just didn't know she was so popular because the show I went to at the beginning of the year was in a quite small venue, not more than 300-400 people could fit, I think. It's very fun to see her with bigger audiences. Anyway, since it's Christmas soon, Laufey's dropped another single. I haven't listened to it yet, I'll do it when it's getting closer to/when it is December. It's still a bit too early for me to dive into all that Christmas stuff, haha. The single is "Santa Baby" and comes with a music video as well! :3 And if that wasn't enough, she has a bunch of Christmas-y merch on her website. I feel like she's slowly becoming Taylor Swift lol, she definitely has a role model to follow when it comes to marketing, creating a fanbase, and selling music and merch. I'm not really interested in all that stuff howeverrrr I am interested in this cute little box with Christmas singles! I've tried to look if it's available anywhere else than her webshop but it seems to be exclusive. A bummer, because it's very cute and my local record store only sells the singles individually and not with this cute collector's box. The description says it'll be useful for future single released in the following years... ahhh I want it! Whew, quite a lot of cover art and colored vinyl alternatives for Open Wide to choose from. Here are a few! Release date: February 7, 2025. Standard Online store exclusive (marbled red) Indies (pink) Ireland exclusive (glow in the dark green) HMV & FNAC exclusive (clear) I'm a bit hesitant to pre-order this time. The single is very Inhaler but it hasn't stuck with me for some reason. I also feel like I'm a bit too old for their audience lol, I'd totally feel more of the lyrics if I was 10 years younger. Also, while I love Neil Krug and his photography, I can't help but feeling like the cover art is just a safe pick? What do these orchids have to do with the album? I bet they bought some of his pictures to use without thinking about it too much - we've seen similar flower photos on his Instagram account (like this one and this one and this one...) and in Lana's albums as well. It just feels... a bit boring to me.

I don’t think it’d be wise to release a single in December, it wouldn’t get through the buzz of all the Christmas music. I don’t think anything’s coming this month, unless there’s a surprise release and we’ll have to wait months again to hear another single and any news of the album.
