Beautiful Loser

In Lanaverse, I’d be working at two part time jobs, like I am currently in real life too. To take inspiration from reality, one of those jobs would be at a shady, neon-lit bar with only regulars. It stays open til late. They love me there, the work is simple but not very exciting. I’d obviously be in love with a loser. My sisters (friends) tell me to break up with him but he’s my sun, he makes me shine. We don’t have much but we’re free. Or at least, we think we are. On the weekends, we go to the beach in his vintage car. When I’m not hanging with my loser or sisters, I explore the city on my own. I love coming across outdoor jazz festivals. I’ll keep my hair color - dark brown - but it’ll be longer and decorated with flowers. If Lana’s trademark is a red or white dress, mine is yellow. I’d smell like citrus and sea water.

Yeah, the outro teasing the next song on the tracklist is what intruiged me the most, I don't really care for this single at all, unfortunately.

The news here report that nearly 4000 people have been injured. Those are insane numbers, if this isn’t terrorism I don’t know what is. I’d be so confused and scared.

I don’t think we’ll get Lasso anymore, which is weird for a project that’s been in the works for like four years or whatever Jack said. But then again, some artists and bands take six years to release new albums, maybe this truly needs a little more work before it’s “ready”. (Let’s just hope she’s not waiting too long to perfect it and it leaks.) She has seemed to hesitant or reluctant to talk about it when she’s been asked about it, at first I wasn’t sure if she meant it like “ugh don’t ask me because my mind is on a different, more fun project now” or “ugh I never should’ve mentioned it from the start”. I know we “just” got a single with Quavo but… who knows if it’ll be on the album. Maybe it’ll be like Doin’ Time and it’ll get a spot on the tracklist. Maybe it’ll just be a random single that will be forgotten after a year. So many questions and so little to go on.

Any hype I had for this in February and July is gone, I wish we had some real news.

Famous for what? I want to say yes but I honestly don’t know how I’d feel. I’m comfortable with being alone but I might feel different if the time I have for myself could’ve been shared with someone else instead. Maybe just dating someone famous would be difficult enough to handle. Would you date someone who always wears a hat/beanie/cap?

I would, as long as they won't pick on my eating habits or preferences. Would you date someone who has no particular interest in music?

I haven’t watched the trailer yet (I was strolling around in Kyoto and Tokyo and just prioritized other things lol) and now I’m kinda like… maybe I don’t want to watch it? It’ll be fun to play it without knowing much…! But I’ll have to block keywords on social media again to avoid spoilers, since I won’t get it on release day.

Watching the video and I got teary eyed. What an emotional moment, and so kind of them to give her her own little VIP seat right next to the stage. I must’ve missed when this thread got created or else I’d try to reach to her team too. Big thanks to everyone who made this happen!

Unaired is out, with three new songs he wrote during the pandemic; Nobody’s Soldier, July, and That you are featuring Bedouine. I hope I get to hear Nobody’s Soldier live someday, and July is so dreamy, I’m keeping on repeat right now. Oh, to be Hozier’s July…! In his email newsletter, he kinda gave us a fandom name?? “Souls”? I like it, very on-brand.

I just finished reading her memoir, a recommendation by a friend. It’s was so, so good, please read it if you can. I’m just listening to Psychopomp now, first track made me cry lol. I only remember seeing Jubilee on Spotify when it was new, I remember listening to some of the tracks but not all of them. Are the songs on that album sad as well? I’m not sure I can handle it, haha, since I’ve lost a parent too.

In which franchise?

Link and Zelda in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom. I know lots of people ship them in other games too but I’ve never really seen anything other than friendship at most in those games. In these two games though? They’re perfect. Also, Sylvain (the guy in my profile picture) and Dorothea in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. They both want someone who can see through their masks and accept them for who they are, and they both do that with each other, and they’re both flirts. I just know Sylvain would treat Dorothea like a queen, and that she’d give him the love he’s been looking for his whole life. They both deserve the world.

If not filmed, I hope it’ll be audio recorded by the radio at least!
