I honestly don’t think Lana tried to subtly be shady with what she said. Remember, Lana was fighting hard to get where she is today, too. She wanted to release an album, she performed at bars and participated in talent shows. She wanted it, and she made sure she got it. Taylor just did the same, but with a huge world tour - she wants a huge world tour, she made sure it would happen, and now it has.

I don’t think Lana performs that many songs off Ocean Blvd because many of them are so painfully personal and self revealing. They can be difficult to sing every other night, maybe they’ll be performed later when she has some distance to them.

Back then I was still a lonely little fan who didn’t think of looking for fan pages for more info, I went to the record store and asked what the difference was between the glossy, crystal case and the paper cover, and the guy at the cash register said the paper got more songs since it was a deluxe, so I bought it and I loved it. First time I listened to it, from start to the end, I remember thinking to myself “what the heck has this poor girl been through omggg???” It’s a punch in the gut sometimes. But nowadays I mostly just vibe with it because it’s so gorgeous and moody. The weather has been a little too hot to wear jackets lately but I’ve recently been wanting to wear my Ultraviolence jacket (I DIY painted the back of a denim jacket) - I hope it’ll be soon!
