    The scan is so fake, there is literally no context to what she is saying. I think fans got confused because the beginning of the NA video (with Lana as Marilyn signing Happy Birthday is 'real'), so they probably assumed that Jacqueline's end was also 'real'.

    I'm 99% sure that it was Lana who wrote it. It's often attributed to Jackie, but I can't see any evidence of it having being written by her. Personally, I think it matches Lana's writing style and I highly doubt that Jacqueline would have written something like this.

    Barrie announced a new song for today, however all that came was an announcement for a video tomorrow combined with a (non music) snippet of this video. The last angle shows the mouth of a woman. Could be our girl, couldn't it? Maybe we already get Riverside? ... would be cool! And a nice birthday gift for me :D

    The only thing that makes me doubt is that we see the woman#s lower body earlier in the snippet, and there are no long nails to be seen.

    It's not Lana in that clip BUT I do agree with the idea that it might be an actress posing as Lana a la Justin Timberlake's Cry Me A River video, where he had an actress pose as Britney Spears.

    I can't remember it being too confusing to me. I seen it like a half a year ago and I really cannot remember the minor details.

     

    there's the girl with angel at the start and then it turns out that girl was murdered...but like was she alive when she helped angel??? or was it a ghost?? and then some creepazoid keeps following angel & protects her from her boyfriend but then angel remembers something about him and idk what it was cause it made 0 sense...and then she ends up at the train platform, with the girl from the start saying 'you're safe here'...so like did she commit suicide??????? idgi

    just watched IRL for the first time...decent movie, acting was okay (sky's was pretty good, but i suppose she fits the moody-druggie persona anyway lol)

     

    but can someone please explain who killed the girl at the start of the movie???? and who the fuck was that guy Angel kept seeing everywhere??? was the girl a ghost???

    i mean i know how they leak them (just by posting them somewhere i think???) but yeah how do they even acquire them

     

    i think i remember lanz saying in an interview that her hard-drive was remotely hacked, which allowed a bunch of hackers to acquire the demos/unreleased etc that she had on the drive. the circle of people who had hard-drive tracks grew bigger through a variety of methods (eg. giving tracks to close friends, trading songs for other stuff). eventually, someone decides to post it publicly and the general public have access to it, though it sometimes take a while for us to realise *cough* Because of You was on SoundCloud for 9 months before we realised *cough*.

     

    that's my understanding of it anyway, i could be completely wrong.

    I've listened a couple of times, and it's definitely not a fan made thing - it's Lana singing, but a different vocal track, and the music's radically different. It's slowly growing on me, anyway.

    It's the same vocal take, just slightly (and badly) edited. The person has made an acapella of Fucked My Way, then added a piano that follows the melody underneath. It's the same process as the 'Summertime Sadness Studio Acoustic' that's floating around on YouTube (albeit the SS one sounds more professionally done).

    Florida Kilos is very overrated, imo it's one of the lowest points (if not the lowest on the album) even tho it's still good just like the rest of the album was amazing

    I totally agree with you. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic song and I love it to pieces, but it just doesn't...fit Ultraviolence. The rest of the album is (mostly) really dark (bar Sad Girl & Fucked My Way (kind of)) but Florida Kilos is so upbeat and positive that it feels like the black sheep of the album. It's a really clever song nonetheless, but I think it would've been better as an unreleased track, replaced by Is This Happiness or Flipside on the deluxe version of the album.

    And can we please discuss how fucking clever this song is? The lyrics, the melody, the voice...it's like Summertime Sadness' clever-er sister.
