the producer of Lover has added a new version of the song to his bandcamp (x). it's 3:33 as opposed to the original, which was 5:04, and sounds slightly more mastered. interestingly also, at the bottom of the page it says 'released 14 February 2015'. could this actually be new music???

This year turned out to be so much worse than last year when it comes to bad publicity for Lana. Feminism and space, ultraviolence lyrics, the "I wish I was dead" quote, the revelation she fucked with a lot of guys of the industry, Eminem diss and now rape to add to the list. I'm kinda worried about her career now  it seems even in the Uk/Europe people hate her now '-'

not really, she's still roughly on the same level of popularity as she was before. only the "I wish I was dead" stuff had some sort of an impact here and even then it was fairly minimal. i haven't heard anyone talk about the rape scene, eminem, feminism and space, fucked my way or ultraviolence lyrics which is probably because she hasn't promoted for 2 years

but is there really any main plot, like its meant to be about freaks vs normal people who hate them, but that theme seems to barely come up and when it does it doesnt really advance the storyline

I think the main plot is what is going to happen to the freak show, will Elsa/the twins make it famous, what will happen to Dandy. there's increasing references to other seasons (eg. mention of Pepper's sister), which could grow to be part of the main plot but I'm not entirely sure.

anyone else think that was shit? the tattoo scene was so cringey, like bye it makes no sense that her dad would do that, had he ever even seen Paul?

i was kinda shocked when they did *that* thing at the end, but i don't think it was an amazing episode. the tattoo thing didn't really creep me out that much tbh. the dad had planned to do the tattoo thing before he knew it was paul, so it was kinda stupid 

however, the season as a whole has been pretty decent. nowhere near as skin-crawingly scary and perfect as Asylum, but far better than the atrocities that were Murder House and Coven.
