  1. She has created the best titles this era. Tulsa Jesus Freak, White Hot Forever, Chemtrails over the country club, Talking like an answering machine.... i love them all
  2. I’m very curious to hear the instrumentals that play along with every poem. Which ones will sound sad, happy, excited, angry if any. Its gonna be such a fresh, new experience to hear an entirely different project from lana like this and i’m glad she decided to take it up!
  3. This would fucking kill me, their production creates the most euphoric atmosphere its beautiful as hell.
  4. I wouldn’t be surprised if this album is literally surprised dropped and just put out onto streaming platforms in September. A lot of things have to get taken into consideration. Including her interview right after NFR explaining that the next album she wants a surprise release, the current covid situation and maybe the factories that it takes to produce hard copies/LP’s (not to mention that covid is rising at an all time high in the states) I think realistically for Lana this is prime time for her to release whatever she wants cause she can blame the lack of promo and everything on the current covid situation. I wouldn’t expect anything till august
  5. For some reason this new era has some weird dark undertone to me. Maybe it’s the writings she’s been expressing in her poetry, specifically patent leather do over. It was really self acknowledgement of how she doesn’t really want to die which in itself is a good thing, but you’re faced with a dark reality of the women before you who have taken that path. the guitar instrumental as well is eery and weary. maybe it’s the current state of being in quarantine recently, but this album feels almost a bit lonely? i don’t see this album as one where she’s seeking freedom to relinquish feelings of past relationships, but rather relinquish her inner self and who she realizes she is.
  6. I would LOVEEE for Lana to cover this track. It’s so heart wrenching and powerful I could hear her voice at this moment singing the lyrics. Also, can we acknowledge Wait For Life as her most underrated track? It evokes so many emotions for me personally and I would enjoy it to be my funeral song.
  7. I agree 100%. For someone to blatantly call Lana a racist is rather ignorant and is out of line. I agree she’s very tone deaf and doesn’t understand that she’s privileged, but she’s not racist. I feel that she is an open liberal white woman who confuses her privilege with everyone else. She wants to belong and allow people to know she’s on their side, but that may come across as being insensitive to the people that actually do struggle. A racist is someone, defined from Webster, as someone who believes one race is superior than the other and discriminates or is prejudice. For Lana to be racist towards black people she would have definitely not wanted to share her art with Asap, Playboy Carti, or even extend the offer of performing at Kanye’s wedding simply for the fact that she would have not wanted a part of their own black culture influenced in her material.
  8. This mutual twitter follower of mine had the audacity to say that if you’re a lana del rey fan you’re classified as “racist”... this is fucking ignorant. This is the same mutual who has “slayyyter” tatted on their lips who, mind you, was exposed for running an actual racist twitter account and making horrid racist comments towards the black community. Lana has bee severely tone deaf, but she is not a racist in any means.
  9. I feel as if Lana is “scared” to speak about this sort of topic right now. Considering what happened recently where she was accused of coming for black artists she may think that people will assume she’s trying to portray a sort of unauthentic opinion. I agree though she should definitely advocate for the injustices within the American society, but also I feel like it’ll be more of a fuck up in some way. Damned if she do, damned if she don’t.
  10. I agree. There has been instances though where this can go both ways. Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding is eligible to be nominated at the 2021 Grammys since it was released exactly a week after the deadline. Apparently it’s been highly acclaimed and has been a hit here in the U.S. But then again look at Twigs, she released in November and the buzz was definitely there but I feel as if she’s been forgotten. The September-December releases I feel can be sort of dry in terms of recognition by the Grammys.
  11. This album title is so fucking unique i’ve never heard anything like this. From the instrumentals on patten leather do-over it would be so beautiful as a haunting Mazzy Star/Raised By Swans vibe. With all of this quarantine stuff and the references of the beach and ocean recently I don’t see anything less than the wooden staircase behind her as she’s walking towards the ocean as an album cover. It will definitely be shot by Chuck though. Tell me why I also get heavy “Wayamaya” vibes from this album already with the strings
  12. I definitely feel that Lana has a clear barrier and only respected these people because they proved to be well kept up and interested in her material. But at the same time I feel that once she thought she could rely and kept them close they deliberately made comments that would be harmful to anybody that was trying to speak their mind. Imagine if people you felt supported you turned their backs on you when you were trying to vent? wouldn’t you feel betrayed? these people claim to respect you but want to make these comments? AND THEN have the AUDACITY to paint you as a person calling random people fuckers? they did her dirty and are ruthless. their only interest is to be considered “elite” because lana spoke to them via groupchat. by now you should know lana acts on emotions and will not hesitate to defend her own heart.
  13. The next thing we need is a video montage with Born To Die playing of her throughout the years and with the final video being a goodbye to her fans and her music career and her going ghost on everything and us never hearing from her again...
  14. In all honesty i’m feeling a little bit of pain from all this. To hold someone so dearly close to your own heart and for you to see them be torn down left and right by everyone while they make false claims of her being racist and idiotic and hating her fans, you begin to feel as if you can’t defend the one person whose actually managed to help you in the most intimate moments of your own life. I wish we could all be there for her as fans and reassure her that she’s not alone. I feel as if this stems from loneliness. From being an outcast in the music industry, in her own friend group as she’s not a mother quite yet, from motherhood in general as she may not have a good mother herself. I hope she finds the peace within her heart.
  15. If @@weadorelana was the one that provoked her regarding claims on her mental state I would honestly feel a little bit lost myself. Whoever runs this account held Lana closely to their heart and is now on the other end of the stick as an enemy from Lana. Making judgement calls and assumptions on her mental health is definitely not right though.
  16. The fake screenshots of the messages are THE worst, people are actually believing them. Does anybody know @@weadorelana on instagram? I wanna know the backstory and follow up with the timeline of what happened in that conversation. Partially I believe such a big account wouldn’t lie as they’ve based their entire page on Lana for years but then i’m seeing receipts of how it can be manipulated.
  17. Getting into astrology terms now- Lana being a Cancer sun with a Scorpio rising is very revealing in these moments. Being a double water sign in your big three creates this idea that you will get your point across regardless as long as you relinquish your emotions and say HOW you feel. Rationalizing the outcome doesn’t exist.
  18. Everybody just needs to fuck off. Her statement was stated terribly and her execution was poorly as she painted a narrative of “little oh me gets nothing” but that was not her intention. My mom always says, honesty without tact is cruelty and Lana failed to miss the mark there. But never will i EVER support or stand by ignorant people calling her a racist when she never has been that way. This whole thing needs to die.
  19. She posted two additional comments that weren’t on her story, theyre wayyy better and more understanding.
  20. This frightens me a bit. I don’t want her to become a recluse and not release anything in fear that she will get bashed. but at the same time she’s been bashed her entire career. Her execution was bad, her update was cringe, but at the end of the day her remarks were not racially influenced at all. It was merely her distaste for how critics were ruthless towards her in the past.
  21. Lana is so fucking angry, her words hold anger in them you can hear the tone. whew chile i’m praying.
  22. Lana looks beautiful. Maybe it’s just my sheer respect that I have for her as she is HUMAN and will AGE, but she does not look bad. We have to remember we’ve been following her (some of us) for at least 10 years and she can’t be the cute lil young woman from the music videos in the beginning of her career. She looks good and I would love to see her grow her hair out naturally.
  23. You’ve really got a hold on me is breathe taking, it can be used in a passionate sex scene between two lovers who can’t resist each other. This fits a Cruel Youth album SO WELL.
