Had a dream that Lana covered Britney Spears Gimme More but in a way where she incorporated electric guitars and after that track there were these HEAVENLY, strong guitars that made me lose my shit everyone was shocked cause it sounded like metal.

This is so mind blowing to me... I discovered Lana when I was in 6th grade as my dad adored her for BTD. It wasn't until my 7th grade year, being 12 mind you, that I began to stan hard and that's when UV came out. Now 19, I feel like I have grown through every album and each one is a major part of my growth from a teenager into my adult years. Entered teenage years as a Lana fan and entering my 20's as an even bigger one

LFL is the last album with some insane tracks that are upbeat, sexy, and have major pop influences. Since then we've been able to experience Lana in a more raw setting, but I think it's time to hang it up and move on to a different soundscape. She's dabbled in many genres and moods but I want some type of grand-esque type shit. NFR and COCC are definitely career highlights but if one more album is Jack produced I know for sure we would all be asleep by that point.

Jesse Rutherford creates some pretty good songs when he’s solo that have a hip hop influence. The Grammys will forever be a peculiar thing to me. Why does the US put so much emphasis on award that is decided by primarily old, white hags in the music industry? The stigma that a Grammy offers the title of maintaining a legacy in pop culture and in the media is thankfully coming to a halt with recent backlash from the Weeknd and others. As much as I would love for Lana to win a Grammy to say she has one, I love knowing that her success lies in the love she has from people around the world and the millions of people who still support her. COCC may be that ONE album that does get it though, we shall see.

It’s hauntingly beautiful as everyone has moments they wish to recreate with someone or a time when things were so much simpler. So well done I want to cry forever to this one.

American standards album Behind the Iron Gates Rock Candy Sweet This woman does not give anything a rest! I believe that COCC did happen in the late part of 2019/early part of 2020 and that’s when Lana was feeling “stuck” within her own life and reminiscing about the past. COCC was such a standstill moment for her that now that she knows what she wants for the next record she will be able to produce it like nothing. I wouldn’t be surprised if she capitalized on the Lana everyone once knew who sang about drugs, abuse, sex, and overall being the life of the party to rub it in the critics faces.

I hope the lyricism isn’t cheesy or blatantly just terrible. I’m curious to see how she’s gonna capture her anger in this album. Also, I don’t believe Jack will work on this because of the image she’s going for. Part of me feels like Jack likes to be loved by EVERYONE including the media. For him to produce a revenge album calling out names Lana will go for someone whom she’s closer to a la Rick or Zach... maybe even Dan since they were able to channel some anger in some of those tracks.

Rock Candy Sweet could probably be a single that comes on June 1st. After re-reading it I think the single will come June 1st and the record will follow later within the year.
