This is her first show of the week, right? I’m wondering if she will have the OB kintsugi set / perform the same Coachella set list. I feel like these shows could close out the Ocean Blvd era and hopefully usher in some teases for what’s to come -
I’ve been listening to a lot of LFL outtakes / demos recently like Poetry in Motion, LFL Max Martin demo 3, If I Die Young, Valley of the Dolls, Serene Queen. It’d be really cool to see Lana infuse the spacey synths from those songs with southern gothic / western sounds to create something really ethereal and experimental. Almost like a cowboys vs aliens vibe Idk if that makes any sense I’m on a lot of Sudafed tonight

I love all of your optimism I have a sliver of hope left for an October release but it’s dwindling. We’re a long ways from thinking the rollout could / would begin around her Coachella performance back in April and the goal post keeps moving further and further back. Each month had a reason to be *the perfect time* to begin the rollout but here we are Her shows this coming week could be an indicator of things to come. Curious / hopeful she will open with In God’s Time again. I need this song to stick around and be released it’s so good.
-
If we’re all being honest with ourselves we thought the rollout would be well on its way by now for a September release. It just isn’t coming insiders are dead silent, Lana is chillin, Charlie’s making music. Let’s hope for another one off single before the end of year and pray for something fresh in 2025
-
I was hoping for a Honeymoon type rollout. The delusional side of me says there’s still time for that if she announces soon. I really don’t want a November or December release, though, it’s such an odd time to release an album imo
-
She has a few shows at the end of the month, right? Maybe she will close the Ocean Blvd era out with these shows and then start LDR10 early September
-
An album full of God Knows I Tried, Yosemite, Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, Old Money and Tomorrow Never Cames would work wonders for my soul
-
Not sure if you’re trolling but I’ll bite bc it’s been dry af. Lasso is back on the schedule for fall
-
Sometimes I have very real psychic hits other times I’m just clowning. But this feels like the former
-
She’s going to announce something this week I can feel it
-
The only reason I believed her September claim was because she said Lasso was a project she worked on for four years. Therefore, I assumed the project was nearly complete and basically ready to roll. I'll never learn
-
At this point, I'd be happy with the song she debuted at Fenway Park and then she can disappear for the year if she wants because clearly this album is not coming in September and if it is, then she must have very minimal promo planned which doesn't really gel with her exposure this year. She's at (another) career peak No way Ben and Ed are going to let her roll an album out in an entirely new genre for her in less than 40 days it just doesn't make sense And for the argument: "lAnA dOeS wHaT sHe WaNtS" I don't think that's entirely true If it was she would be releasing 3 albums and EP's galore with MS Paint album covers every year she records and moves onto the next album constantly the team is probably strategically planning a big rollout
-
I’m still convinced the Bazaar photoshoot was a clue or indicative of the style for LDR10. Swamp glamourpuss in a small southern gothic townThe question is has she moved on since then and reworked everything
-
Cmon Lana go live on insta and reveal everything
-
So. If there is a release this Friday we could expect an announcement anytime in the next couple of days, no?
-
She’s chillin’, resting and relaxing before we all escape into her dreamy, glamorous, southern gothic fantasy
-
-
help why did I think you meant Charlie Grant’s producer
-
Why do I get a premonition this album is going to be akin to Honeymoon?
-
I totally understand what you’re saying and agree that 2-3 years between albums isn’t that long. But it did get me thinking about artists and album cycles. Lana has consistently put out albums every couple of years (sometimes sooner) basically since the beginning of her career in 2012. She is always writing, making magic and allowing us to go alongside her. Making music is a huge part of her life and we’re extremely lucky to experience it. I really can’t think of any other artist who is putting out material consistently like her. This kind of makes me think of the resurgence of Frank Ocean on socials recently. He was once regarded as basically a music prodigy yet he’s put out two albums 10 plus years into his career. Imagine Lana only putting out Ultraviolence as a second album in 2022. I think the idea of length between albums = quality artistry is something of the past. I can respect artists taking their time between albums and perfecting their craft but there’s something amazing about watching Lana evolve in real time between each album.
