Fair. I think this could've been shaved down a bit, yeah. Especially the ending. The back-up singers are amazing but like... she's got a fine to pay. -

Beautiful Original Riveting Introspective Narrative Glistening Yes. It is BORING. It's my second most played Lana song ever. -

She soundchecked Brooklyn Baby at Coachella. It was probably them just playing a song to test stuff. -

I love knowing what her personal favorites of her own catalog are. In a situation where they need to speed through and make cuts she said "y'all are gonna LISTEN to Cherry in FULL!" -

How sure are we that the curfew is 10:30? That's insane to me. Most shows don't end til at least 11:00. -

Kinda the best way for Lana's first big stadium show (and a birthday show) to begin honestly. Chaos and drama. Knowing that she'll be able to do the show I think she'll find some humor in this. -

I went to the signing earlier in LA and my goodness she is so pretty in person and she's so nice! We were talking and I asked her to write "beaches and oceans 4 my baby" on the vinyl because that song is everything to me and she was like "ugh love itttt" and we talked about it and she was like "thank you for being a fan for so long it means a lot" - then I was telling her about something else and she was like "wait that's so cunt" like I dieeeeeedddd. And the way she said my name at the end was everything. I love herrrrr.

Anyone going to the LA signing next Friday? I'm so excited. I can finally tell her how fucking good Grins is after 12 years.

She performed every song on that setlist except for Pretty Dull! I mean… she did play for 2 hours. She went on at 10:05 and my last video is at 12:07 am.

I was at the barricade last night and had so much fun celebrating what is clearly such an important album to those of us in attendance and to Sky herself. She seemed a lot less happy and confident with herself than she did when I saw her last summer, but she sounded better than ever. I was so pleasantly surprised to hear Ghost, that and Sad Dream are my two favorite Sky songs and have been so special to me for over a decade, what a treat. As for the comments regarding the lighting, restarting songs, and the throwing of papers are kinda out of context so I can clear them up from my point of view. It was pretty dark (after I Blame Myself is when this started) but that is kind of her thing so I'm unsure what people expected. She said something about it not being what she planned and that's why she had them turn the lights off during the song, but then she continuously asked for them to be fixed and got visibly frustrated when nothing was done. During EIE she literally asked all of us at the front to put our phone lights on in lieu of the lighting. She stated a few times during the show that she wanted to do a few songs over because the sound was not right, but she only completely redid 24 Hours. As for the paper throwing, she last minute added Ghost to the show and had the lyrics on stage with her, but threw them during the song to a fan at the front. Assuming she just didn't need them like she thought she might? She apologized a bunch throughout the show which made me kinda sad. She was doing great despite the clear distress she was in from the things going wrong. We were all having a great time and showing her lots of support, so I hope she understood that. I had an incredible time and can't think of a more fitting night for this album. Beautifully messy, but you love it. Also, 2013 me would have been dying to know I got one of the set lists after the show. I love you Sky!!! Incredible night. NTMT will forever be incredible.

Festival run since late last year has just seemed like she's having fun. All the riffing, joking around, singing the songs she wants to hear, singing with her friends... I dunno this, to me, is Lana at her best just having the time of her life. I like it.- 953 replies

Indio, CA @ Coachella: Weekend 2 - April 19th, 2024
Golden Hour replied to Elle's topic in 2024 Performances
Made the trip to Coachella just for Lana and back to LA all in one day, so I'm just now waking up but wow… I haven't seen Lana since the NFR tour in 2019 and while the set hasn't changed much in structure, it was still such a new feeling to see her last night. There is a new energy to her- she is so much lighter, she has learned a lot about herself in the past few years I think. It was fun to watch her riff on stage and enjoy playing music with her friends, and on top of that she looked beautiful and was serving that gorgeous dark aesthetic. I was close to the front and to hear everyone singing Arcadia and Tunnel made me so emotional - and you could tell it made her feel so seen and loved. I don't know how to explain it but she just seems so much more at peace since the last time I saw her. The show just felt so personal, something that only Lana can pull off on such a large stage like Coachella. I have so much more to say but I am exhausted and brainrotted - just wanted to share how lovely it was to see Lana last night. I know people also weren't happy with the Camila guest spot, but Lana was having a blast, plus it was a super fun dance moment not gonna lie. Overall just such a great night and I can't thank Lana enough for everything. Seeing her at Coachella was a dream of mine for so many years and I'm so happy that I got to see it through. -

I'm unsure if anyone has mentioned this already, but maybe it could also be a nod to The Weeknd with "Die for You" - could very well be one of the guests Ben teased.
