I don't think the label thing is true, the last time I checked she was an indepent artist I get the hit single thing but she should be aware that having a hit making pop is difficult nowadays with that hip-hop wave and being independent even more, idk she should've been happy with everything she's achieved, she's opening for Troye Sivan, she's got to collab with Charli and she's making pretty good numbers on Spotify despite the lack of promo.
