On the Grammy website there’s a poll for who should win each category, and in Lana’s category she has the second highest number of votes, behind Lady Gaga. Everyone’s predicting Ed Sheeran to win but who knows, weirder things have happened. Remember when Bon Iver won best new artist like 5 years after his successful debut album came out?

What would happen if Lana wins the Grammy and then Radiohead wins the lawsuit? Would she be stripped of the award?

All the comments that I’ve read about this on Facebook and the articles reporting on it are generally saying that Radiohead is being extra. There are definitely similarities in the two tracks, but I think not accepting 40% of the royalties looks worse on them than Get Free using the same chord progression as Creep. I don’t think it’s bad publicity for Lana at all. Radiohead is coming off as huge douchebags to the general public. Not that that’s anything new for them anyway lol.

I’m just dying for her to sing Get Free. Watching her perform it in New York and the audience chanting “out of the black into the blue” gives me goosebumps every time.

I like the verses, they kind of remind me of Hollywood. Something about the melody or the production. The chorus is boring though. Typical Lana “repeat the title of the song 10 times for the chorus” chorus.

So I had a random idea for a Get Free video It should start with her emerging from the ocean (kinda like that part in the West Coast video right after the first chorus). Lana continues walking out of the water onto land. The whole video is one single steady shot, with her walking toward the camera as it moves back. And as it moves back the beach setting turns into different set pieces from each of her videos. Beginning with the Chateau Marmont, which then blends into the church from BtD, and then the beach house from Blue jeans etc. And it goes through each of he let videos with characters from each video appearing in each set piece. And then at the end it cuts back to her floating in the ocean, happy, for the duration of audio after the last “into the blue”. I didn’t really explain this very well but in my head it looks amazing lol. But the idea is to show her letting go of all the past bullshit she’s been through throughout her career, only to finally be at peace in the end and ready to move on to her future endeavours.
