the album is not done, she said herself that she was still writing it just a few months ago. she is retconning. there is no way she finished writing, recording, mixing, and mastering everything over the summer, especially considering she had festival obligations. we been gave up on 2022. i do think she is actually working towards finishing it but i think it will be ready by spring at the earliest and knowing sky's perfectionist ass we likely won't get it until next summer or fall, if we ever get it at all. i wouldn't even mind a 2023 masochism release because it would be 10 years since night time my time and at this point, what difference does a few months make? it would be smart to release descending in december, just to let people know she does actually have a plan this time. it would be in line with her announcing don't forget on the last day of march which was so comically sky.

this is so perplexing to me though because why would she bother dropping a single if the album wasn’t ready? i feel stupid even discussing this because we’re all just running ourselves in circles at this point but like it’s been 9 years, what’s another few months to wait if she’s finishing the album? i just don’t understand the point of doing all this press and these festival performances and attending the freaking met gala if she seriously didn’t have any sort of release strategy, let alone something to release. her fans were putting in work getting her ass trending on twitter and instead of taking advantage of this she let all the excitement fizzle out. every interview she did this spring was just some regurgitation of “my label is ruining my artistry and my lifeeee” and we’re expected to believe she just rolls up to capital the next day and they’re like “we love you sky ferreira here’s 4 million dollars” like WHAT is her plan here it is so bizarre to behold

i got the music video for one recommended on youtube and played it for my friend in 8th grade math class, i was creating little ferraris at age 14 #charity. i got into obsession shortly after and then haters anonymous, 108, and 99 tears were my faves. i started seeing her a lot on tumblr around that time so i began stanning and the rest was herstory i think the one video was posted by parlophone so i thought she was british or something lol.
