From what I’ve heard I prefer released version idc that much about the alternate one. But I’d still love to hear it in full.

It looked like she changed the name to appear more mainstream as a solo artist (to not look like it’s a band anymore) and look more like a classic pop star but it literally made looking up for news, her music and concert dates a lot harder. Usually when I’m looking for something Marina-related I still have to type “and the diamonds” with whatever I’m typing. Her full name - Marina Diamandis - would be a much better choice. It would still be similar enough to the Diamonds part and it’d also give her some kind of uniqueness - Diamandis is such a pretty last name.

She was planning to release a full ass album with her so why can’t just they perform another song together?? I’m sure she has a lot of songs with her, not just BUS

I sent that over to our editor, like, “We need to find a home for this one.” It’s beautiful. It’s perfect. It’s Euphoria. i remember listening to them offline and then using some sort of update option to upload them as a scrobbles to my account, that was almost 10 years ago tho so idk

you can edit the length of the song in itunes to 0:01 and each listen it counts as a full listen (just in your statistics ofc) and then you can update them on your last.fm many DiE hArD fAnS were doing that years ago fakely trying to impress other fans with their scrobbles

actually there is only one other version but with no bridge and i saw screenshots of that twink insider (twinksider ) from twitter confessing that he basically didn't know what bridge means (lmao) and he wrongly stated that there is a bridge version of WCE... basically he stated that for attention only and is refusing to publicly admit that. the TV version of the song has different instrumental and theres a specific moment when shes singing the final chorus with some type of instrumental change which they were reportedly interpreting as a bridge.

it was also uploaded with a new title on apple music, but they havent renamed the old one but uploaded a new one with a 1-second longer length... edit: nvm they changed it and its the same length now, still cant understand why theres both of them on streaming lmao

and this is actually so sad because the BTD one would fit the 10-year anniversary theme so good!!! like it's a commentary on all the criticism Lana got around that time and then through her whole career

releasing three $2.5k vinyls for ugly rich people but not a 10-year anniversary edition of BTD... interesting choice

Last time I felt this catchiness from her melodies was when she released Chemtrails the title track, I think pre-chorus in WCE is almost as great as COCC’s chorus, the song itself isn’t just as polished but I don’t mind it, it reminds me of her Ultraviolence ~messiness~… this is Lana in her best form once again.

Also… i need another Doin time situation to happen so WCE ends up on the next album. It’s too beautiful to end as a stand-alone single and I need more songs like this on LDR9

Other version of WCE was clearly made specifically for the episode and will be heard there (as it was already teased in the trailer). The version we got is probably the OG version Lana wanted to be released – especially with drums being “off-key,” this is kinda her already known procedure to make songs “imperfect.” Not saying you have to love this effect, I’m just saying this is something she often does with her songs. I personally like it, I don’t like this whole obsession with making music super polished and I appreciate Lana for doing things on one take, I think it makes her craft unique.

Lyricism is magnificent in this one. This type of lyrics is what made me fall in love with Lana 10 years ago. I adore her writing post-NFR era and it really shows her growth, but WCE-type of lyricism once in a while is making me really nostalgic!

I did read your whole post and I still think this song is as good as some of her greatest songs from past few years. I wouldn’t call you bitter but you literally are, you’re just unsatisfied with how the song turned out and instead of, idk, wait for another one that maybe would fit your expectations you’re fuming on the internet because there’s other people that GENUINELY. LIKE. THE. SONG. Like wtf is wrong with you

This is literally one of my favorite songs she’s released in years and I’ve been quite critical of her music for many years. What’s wrong with liking, even loving this song? I think it’s great. Just because it doesn’t fit your imagery of what Lana should be like doesn’t mean you have to be bitter about it.
