I loved the original cover when we first saw it, but now that I’ve actually heard the album.......maybe Ben and Ed made some points. It really doesn’t fit at all.

California is an early top 3 on the album for me. It sounds like a song she’d decide to scrap from the album last minute and we’d curse her out for it forever. Makes me feel like I’m listening to an UV outtake. So thankful she released this masterpiece.

Finally just heard the album for the first time. Early faves are Cinnamon Girl (duh), Love Song, NFR, and California. HtD’s production is questionable, but there aren’t any “bad” songs on this album. I think this one might be THE one. Can’t wait to listen more and more <3

Reviving this thread to post about my dream I had about her this morning: I dreamt I went to my local Walmart on NFR release day and Lana was standing outside the entrance meeting fans and taking photos lol. (One of the Cali stans was with her, which is...odd, since I live in the middle of the country.) I stood in line to meet her and when it was finally my turn, I started crying and told her, “You and your music means so much to me, I love you so much...but you probably get that all the time.” She laughed and told me, “always follow your dreams, because that’s what I did, and look at me now!” I hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek and she grabbed my phone and said “let’s take a picture, baby” and she took a bunch of photos to make sure I’d have at least one good one. I asked her to write anything she wanted on my hand so I could get it tattooed and she wrote something about a car. Then Chuck came out of the store and gave us both cowboy hats lmao and then they left. I went home and told my brother about the whole thing and started sobbing.

I felt so “meh” when I first heard the song, but after 3-4 listens I love it...this girl is the queen of ear worms.

Personal/sorta off-topic-ish, but I just realized that Aug. 30th is exactly one year since this dude I was head over heels for dumped me out of nowhere. MAC was SO comforting to me and helped me through that time. I had that ish on repeat for weeks. And now here we are a year later getting the entire album...her mind. Dis bitch really always coming through and being there for us at the most perfect times, huh?! Anyways - to fit with the campy aesthetic, what if as part of merch she sold like an Insta Baddies essentials kit sort of thing? Neon fake nails like the cover’s + gummy bears (“gummybear hair care”), NFR themed pajama/lounge shorts, a set of fake lashes shaped like the extensions she used to get. idk, I love unconventional merch like Ariana’s BUWYGIB candy hearts, etc.
