"spearheading" a new wave of modern pop music... almost like a new "world" of pop of sorts, where there's an emphasis on building up themselves, and other artists, from the ground up... and doing it on their own terms, where the music and artistic integrity remains the focus. True pop disruptors... like they aren't the Maroon 5's or Ariana's, Rhianna's, or (**insert any particular gigantic pop act here**) of the established pop music industry... They're BETTER...

Taxi is great not because it’s meant to be taken seriously, but because of the opposite... it’s got the trademark Charli “sass” that I’m kinda missing from “Charli” right now tbh (not to discredit it at all)... and it’s just super catchy and gets stuck in your head. The hook is top-tier. Also the feeling that the demo version that leaked doesn’t capture... the build up to the end where it changes “...taxi for them, taxi for him, taxi for her... DON’T TALK, GET IN!” It’s SUPER effective songwriting... It’s already a huge bop, but by the end, she just put the icing on the cake... the cherry on top... And then it just ends... and you’re like, “uhhh WOW, I think she snapped.”

I wonder what Charli means by “doing something drastic” for her next release...

I knew Boom Clap and Fancy before I knew who Charli was... really liked the songs too, kinda felt a unique energy and quality about them, but had no idea who sang them. Then I randomly caught Charli on SNL right around the time Sucker was releasing, and I NEVER watch(ed) SNL... so it was pretty funny... like some weird twist of fate or something lol, but I was able to kinda put those songs to a face and persona after that, and then I ended up buying Sucker later that night, on a whim... I didn't choose the XCX life, the XCX life chose me... :defeated: It was like, all along, I was meant to stan.
