All the gays waking up to how Charli is gorgeous queen of the straights too... I didn't know if we'd ever see the day. I liked her new song with Travis Barker. Has a nice dreamy sound. But yeah, I don't feel like her older stuff is too far removed from the True Romance sound, or at the very least, Charli's and LIGHTS' styles could maybe mesh in an interesting way...

I really don’t hear the I Like America comparisons really. I see them a lot, it’s similar in that it’s a big vibe, but it’s more like the sad boi TOOTIME + Petrichor + hints of Sincerity Is Scary to me.

I feel like Charli is just in-tune and really understands the power of connecting being relatable with her fanbase. So regardless as to what she does with it, she’s still going to have all of us crazy fans no matter what lol.

Ok so we need to talk about something and that is how Charli is always stage diving and crowd surfing at her shows... literally NO other pop girl would EVER! We love our transcendent punk queen. :flutter:

I just PERSONALLY think that when you compare some of her PC Music style songs side by side, that had live versions, they sound objectively better at the faster tempo. Not even just because that was the first way they were heard... They just pop off that much more. Vroom Vroom is a shining example. I think the way they’re written and arranged, just the stylistic qualities of the music itself, I almost feel like the faster tempo is warranted, if that makes sense. Like it almost feels necessary, if the music is truly going to “pop” like it’s intended... but that’s just my opinion.
