Again, why does 1999 get hate? It was the best pop song last year... and I love how she closes her shows with it now, and did you see the Pitchfork set? The whole place was erupting. Just a feel good bop that leaves a positive closing impression. Everything about it is catchy.

I’ve always found her “I’m the best” posts to be (very obviously) tongue-in-cheek and meant to be funny/not serious at all, than actually narcissistic lol. Like I think I can read people pretty well, and I don’t find Charli to be narcissistic at all. She’s very sarcastic.

She really drills the chorus into your head on CYO huh? I like it... wish it maybe took a different turn in there somewhere, but it’s not a problem. It’s catchy. Why do I feel like all of these songs are going to be “single” caliber?

I don’t get the hate for 1999... it should’ve been a wayyyyy bigger pop moment than it was. Like where are the hundreds of millions of YouTube views?
