    "Heaven is place on earth with you" is probably my all time favourite line, even though she didn't come up with it. There's just something about the way she uses it that makes it hers.

     

    Same with "Take a walk on the wild side" and "Light of my life, fire of my loins". Who else could get away with using those iconic lines and still make them sound like they belong in their song? She just owns her lyrics so much, I guess that why it's weird to hear someone like Cheryl Cole sing Lana lyrics.

    I Don't Wanna Go. I wasn't a member of any Lana related forums back then, so every day I would do a google search of her and restrict the results to the past 24 hours. Most days the results were lyric translations or reposts of old news. Any new leaks were a lucky break so when I heard the masterpiece that is IDWG I just sat in front of my laptop like  :hair: the rest of he night, disregarding my homework.

    This so adds to the mystique of her claimed teen drinking. I wonder if her talk of "losing her reputation" has something to do with her early days as a preppy, Catholic sweetheart. It must have been the talk of the town if she really got into enough trouble to get sent off to boarding school.

    1: When did you first discover Lana Del Rey - November '11. Heard Video Games on the radio.

    2: What was the first song that made you fall in love with her music - Video Games in a way, but Off to the Races sealed the deal.


    3: Favorite Lana hairstyle - Ginger movie star style, like in BTD.

    4: Favorite live performance - Video Games on Jools. iTunes festival is magic too.

    This reminds me of when I lurked on another fan forum for a band that shall not be named.*

    When they hadn't released material for a while it got pretty bad. Every thread ending with dramaqueens calling eachother out as bad fans, some were going through existential crisis because they didnt feel as "good enough fans" when they started to get interested in other bands, fans stalking the band in real life etc.

    Until someone actually sends Lana a photoshop of herself in a ménage à trois with Ben Mawson and the loon, I'm not worried about LB's level of hysteria. 

     

    *ok, I'll name it. It was Tokio Hotel  :eek:  :eek: :eek:shut up, Bill was pretty  :shh:

    I was put off by the drama surrounding her here but decided to give it shot and wow, the production, melodies and some of the lyrics are all really really good!

     

    still can't get into her voice, whyy? :icant:

    idkk he is verry skinny and not muscular but i don't think he's quite that skinny anymore but prob closer to 126 than 180.

     

    It's hard to tell, he's face looks "sharper" now but that's probably just aging.
