I think at her core from way back then, its seems like Lana has always been one to seek out places of peace and refuge. Even if they were temporary. Which is why she seemed to move around a lot. From alcohol to multiple relationships. And like anyone who can relate, usually the cause of this restlessness links itself back to people's home life. & How they grew up. I mean she mentioned the fact that when Video Games started picking up, she hadnt seen or heard from her father in 6 years. Plus when you add up her parents sending her off to boarding school, it starts to make sense. Aside from other personal things. & So when you couple that with the criticism she receives from one of the places shes seeking acceptance the most, i can see why she would feel the way she does. But her love for music and fans is what keeps her doing music. The moment shes able to receive closure and peace from things shes dealt with back then, then i can see her truly being a peace a little more.

I wouldve have to say right around the Born To Die era right before the album dropped. After seeing Lana's face on every other blog, i decided to give Off To The Races a chance, and i fell in love right after.

The Beautiful Coincidence Of Lana Del Rey, Mark Mahoney, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, & Urban Noize The coincidence that this gentlemen Mark Mahoney who is featured on Lana Del Rey’s video for West Coast during the car driving scenes, served as both Biggie and Pac’s tattoo artist who originally started his business in Brooklyn. & The fact that i decided to add Biggie on our remix to her West Coast record without even knowing any of this. Crazy & remarkable. https://www.flickr.com/photos/57148881@N03/14393752355/ Lana Del Rey feat. urbannoize replied to Sitar's topic in New Interviews
The more of these interviews im hearing, the more im getting the impression that Lana is truly a sweetheart & down to earth person. & The way she talks about her music & its production process really inspires me as well. Looking forward to Ultraviolence, & where shes about to take the album fully, as far as single, videos, and etc. Side Note: Talk about great minds thinking alike. I heard how great Lana's voice could be over psychedelic, rock music the moment i decided to remix Summertime Sadness with that sound. & This way before she even started talking about the sound of Ultraviolence. Just got through reading this interview, and it reinforces the idea for me that Lana is tangible and genuine person. Which we all know obviously from the numerous amounts of pictures she takes with her fans. As well as the interaction she has with them. & That all the more makes me truly appreciate her as a person.

NEW MUSIC: Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans (feat. James Dean & Natalie Wood) [urban Noize Remix] The rough and rugged soundtrack we provided to our remix of Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans" not only fits the bad boy persona of James Dean, who its coincidentally tailored for, but also perfectly describes the sound of Lana's sophmore album Ultraviolence. Which we hit the nail on before she had a chance to completely talk about it. As well as that, the dialogue is taken from James Dean coming of age classic movie "Rebel Without A Cause". “It sounds like everything I listen to. Phil Spector has been one of my inspirations, honestly. The album has a Californian influence… With different effects and progressions, with a tough energy which makes me think of New York”. https://soundcloud.com/urbannoizeremixes/lana-del-rey-blue-jeans-feat-james-dean-natalie-wood-urban-noize-remix

NEW MUSIC: Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans (feat. James Dean & Natalie) [urban Noize Remix] Just from the rough, rugged, & dangerous rock & roll element we were able to in fuse into Lana Del Rey's single Blue Jeans, we felt it exactly defined now only James Dean, but his character Jim Stark & his relationship with co-star's Natalie Wood's character Judy on the 1955 coming of age movie classic "Rebel Without A Cause". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ATjqJjuaqM&feature=youtu.be

Lana Del Rey's West Coast record is a beautifully sublime, psychedelic, groovy rock ballad, that is refreshingly unexpected, adventurous. & Executed in such a great way, that its simply irresistible. Awhile changing things up for Lana, but not straying far from the epically beautiful sound people have come to know her for. Looking forward to seeing what else Ultraviolence has to offer.
