  3. Lana also quoted Jesus in her bio with the "for out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks." Luke 6:45. Similar to the Reputation is what men and women think of us; character is what God and angels know of us."
  4. In case you missed it, Lana just live streamed a recent concert on instagram stories moments ago
  5. I can't help but realize how hypnotizing this 1 minute loop of Lana seductively performing Cherry is. Might be hard to watch this once. lol. Credit to the original videographer of this.
  6. Lana on the road while blasting a spanish speaking radio station. Wonder if she knows what's being said. lol Commentary on what she's listening to from celts67 off of reddit lol She's listening to commentary of the Istanbul(dont know name) team playing Sevilla of Spain soccer match haha wtf im a big soccer fan and recognised it was commentary right away and then he mentioned Sevilla, it was a match on tonight in the Europa League. I could have died if it was my team(Celtic) she was listening to we played last night
  7. A highlight of Lana's recent tour performances in Sweden, San Diego and Oslo
  8. Yea Honeymoon really was great. And i appreciated it as much as BTD and UV. But UV and BTD made their marks. I need to get on appreciating Paradise a lot more
  9. Couldn't agree with you more. Born To Die is the career defining album that set the tone for everything else. With Ultraviolence being the shift and display of how great of a songwriter and singer she had become. Yea BTD and UV were career defining moments for Lana. Despite the fact that i enjoy HM and LFL
  10. In my opinion Ultraviolence is Lana's magnum opus in terms of how strong and refined her songwriting and singing had become up until that point. But Born To Die was and still is just as impressive and important. Both display strengths and qualities about Lana that makes her a remarkable artist. With Ultraviolence showing a laser focused, more brooding rock oriented and condensed persona. While Born To Die on was more expansive, cinematic, nuanced and adventurous. Solidifying the hollywood sadcore, americana alternative sound we've come to know and love from her. The merging of Hip hop, trip hop, alternative, baroque and indie pop brilliantly with the literature of Walt Whitman and Vladimir Nabokov through hypnotic, psychedelic, melancholy melodies.
  11. Lana with some sexy and adorable promo for shows coming up in NY

  15. Lana announces futuristic White Mustang video is coming, and that she'll be calling fans who've purchased the album. Excuse all of my typing lol
  16. Some Monica Bellucci in Malèna and unintentional Marilyn Monroe for Lana's 3rd Complex Magazine cover for 2 reasons. http://imgur.com/a/HAUrW 1 Lana obviously paying homage to a scene in Malena. 2 The unintentional part is the fact the men gathered around Marilyn are sailors. Similar to Lana's photo.
  17. Lana hasn't had a raw, real and edgy interview like this in a long time. Feels like the interviewer had her regress to the days of hating to do interviews by some of her responses.
  18. "When the world was at war before we just kept dancing." I believe this is commentary on the rise of the counterculture, protest music that emerged in the 60s. Which pretty much came as result of war in Vietnam, Civil Rights, Women’s Rights, and the Sexual Revolution. Counterculture music also assisted in diversifying music the through the collapse of stereotypical barriers and freedom of expression. Paving the way for african american artists to become more mainstream and celebrated, and giving female artists more of a voice. Overall not to mention our times feel like reflection of those times. Which makes sense why Coachella - woodstock in my mind also exists on Lust For Life.
  19. I can never get enough of the behind the scene stuff when it comes to a making of an album. Especially when it has to do with someone like Lana. http://ew.com/music/2017/07/14/lana-del-rey-lust-for-life-behind-the-scenes/
