  1. She coming... though she sure is taking her sweet time. Don’t know how to read this anymore: someone knows something? Or is it just a burst of hope?
  2. Jan. 2. It was the caption with her post announcing Hope being released on the 9th.
  3. We need to be realistic about Lana for her future releases: she is fucking bad when it comes to estimate the time a project will take and she teases too soon. Her intentions are good (she wants to give us something ASAP), but she doesn’t see that it hypes us for too long to have that hype maintained.
  4. Finished could mean many things: first draft done? Final version done and ready to go for impression? To me, she’s figuring out how to market it (self-publish? She has a publisher? A bundle with the album?)
  5. Her January 2 post on Insta, where she teased “Hope is a Dangerous Thing” and announced its release, also had the caption : I’ve been writing a poetry book for 13 months and it is now finished.
  6. I see what you mean, about the fan tracks vs stand-alone singles. She really should consider this option in the near future (the two country songs could be a good start; BAR and Yosemite should have been standalone singles as well). And with the whole church thing, I didn’t talk about it because I don’t all the facts but in general, I fucking hate churches and religion. And from the little I know from the one she attended, she really should question that choice lol
  7. I’d have to do an archeology dig into the LFL pre-release. The day before, all the songs from LFL were on the PPL repertoire or another one of the song registration sites. If the preorder was about to happen, all the songs would be on the registration sites, which they aren’t (to my knowledge). And I don’t know how Shazam’s works with snippets of songs to be released, especially with HIaB (why that one and not the others)?
  8. Probably. But the songs from LFL were registered only a few days before the preorder, if I’m correct.
  9. I think so?!? Wasn’t it possible with the first snippet?!?
  10. Oh, ok, sorry for the misunderstanding :/ I'm curious to know how you see fan tracks vs Lana...
  11. I agree with you for the most parts. Two years between albums is standard and is usually the earliest for most artists. We were lucky for the 15 months between UV and HM and took that it was going to be her new standard. The music is also fantastic with NFR and when the album lands, I will love it i’m Sure. The only thing i’d Change about the pre-release period is the length: I really don’t mind that she is mute before she drops a single (or two here) but when she does, a new era begins and 4 or 5 months before the album drops is standard. But a 6 month+ wait with no info or confirmation of anything in between? That is too much and we get to the point where nothing satisfies us, we just want the damn album. Again, she chew more than she could bite, with the poetry book and NFR almost simultaneously.
  12. Cage the Elephant are releasing a new album on April 19. Today, we got the lead single and its video, the album cover and tracklisting. A couple of artists are adopting this strategy these days. Wouldn't be surprised if she did the same: boom! all in one.
  13. It's been said a million times before: the first lead single is yet to come and the three first tracks were to help us be patient before NFR. Besides, have you heard the lyrics, the way the songs respond each other? And Lana never released any standalone singles to this date... (though she should). This again. Yes, they are on the album. She released them for us , so we could be patient before NFR's real lead single. These three tracks never were intended to be played on radio, as opposed to the real lead, that will probably play in two LA radio stations lol. The songs reference one another and therefore, she can't scrap them from NFR.
  14. I wish I had the strength even if some people here really piss me off
  15. She liked an article where the supposed date was mentioned. Then again, before LFL, she liked someone’s post about the supposed song Wild Side. Her likes are simply a way of appreciating the attention? Surely like the May 26 date, it’s possible March 29 was “reserved” for her by Interscope. Guess they gave it to Billie instead lol
  16. Back in September, she said she wanted the poetry book out before NFR.In January, she said her book was done too. The bundles you mentioned make sense: let’s face it, we all are curious about her poetry and do people outside her fan base are really interested to buy a Lana book? Not so sure. It would make sense to include poetry with her music.
  17. So the new guessing game begins lolThe best indicator of NFr’s Release are her upcoming shows (if none is canceled): she has a bunch in a row coming in June, so before that I guess. And her poetry book prior to that.
  18. She confirmed herself the album was done in December. I said it many times: with Jack being the producer, she can’t add a song last minute like she did with LFL (Jack lives in NYC). She probably will have the poetry book out before NFR like she said she would. This might explain the lack of promo for the record.
  19. I don’t know her that well and what her impact is, but is she really a “menace” for her, someone in her leagues to compete for the number 1 spot if they had to both release on March 29?
  20. Nan, she came up with the title of the album last March. She began working on NFR in January and it was done probably in Nov-December.
  21. I wasn’t part of LB in the HM era, but you thought it was a dry era? I’m curious why... ok, there were no interviews...what I liked about HM was that it was released 15 months after UV ( with the 2 songs from Big Eyes in between and the Emile collab) and that between the first snippet and the album, only 3 months had passed. And we got news every week after HBTB. This era wishes...
  22. And even the whole « mid-2019 » thing, if it’s true, cannot go on much longer than April or May (sure hope it’s March though), since she has some shows in a row starting in June. It would be impossible to promote NFR (even if it’s just a couple of radio interviews) If she’s on the road.
