  1. I still listen to Hope almost daily, but the per-release era is so scattered, 6 months+ is too long, even the lead single will (possibly) still leave us thirsty. The two-single release of LFL was the same to me: at least, by then, we only had 9 days to wait.
  2. We have yet to hear some tracks from NFR, but we know that project is personal to her the way HM was... So, maybe Cinnamon and VB are the two «bop tracks», the way HBTB and Freak were to HM? Though I wish the title track has some guitars to it, and also Bartender (if the song ends up on the damn album).
  3. She really should release an album of her unreleased stuff from each era, plus a couple of leaked (and maybe remastered?) songs. And call it Best American Record. All I know, though, is that the two snippets of The Good Life made me thirsty for that song!!! I know it's not a UV outtake, but fuck, that song is right there sonically.
  4. It's as if HM pre-release era had a baby with LFL's: she is doing zero interviews, it's just the music via snippets but it's scattered over a 6+ month-period.
  5. Everyone has the right to their own opinion about LFL. I get that. But to call it trash and messy has always been an overeaction to me. Especially with people who listened to it two times (all of her albums are growers, some just need more patience than others). LFL did very well outside LB, and I find sometimes presumptuous to assume that we represent all of the fanbase.
  6. U saying BTD is McDonald’s then? Cause the album sure as hell sold well.
  7. I love LFL. Is is as beautiful as HM or UV? No. But it is solid. The album is best in the summer and I love its story. The fact that it’s her second most streamed album makes it evident that LB and the rest of the fan base have different tastes. Besides, many here have listened to it once and started doing their own edit of it, without giving it a chance to let it sink in.
  8. It’s been a year today since Lana teased Bartender by talking about it!
  9. HM is lush, majestic, luminous, grand, orchestral, etharal. She is at her most « Old Hollywood » on that album, which I love. She is more in control with that one after the rawness and fiery passion of UV. The lyrics are pretty much flawless, even when they seem a bit corny. Her voice is like a summer breeze. And there are so many heartfelt moments on that album. It’s a tour de force. To me, it is still her best. UV was stunning, but listening it from cover to cover is kinda a downer. I don’t get that down feeling after HM.
  10. I love this picture. It’s simple, the background ain’t perfect, but the blue sky, her stare at the horizon and the sunbeam are really fitting of this era. Preach, sis!!! People have a hard time reading and remembering things these days. They then wish that what they hope will be happening... No wonder this fan base is so often deceived.
  11. Love this analysis. I see the first three tracks as IYC (happy Lana in love), MAC (still in love but there’s trouble in paradise) and NFR (fuck this shit, that guy’s a jerk). It tells a pretty neat story. The rest of the album could tell short stories as well.As for Starry-Eyed, Bartender and Cactus, some of them are a real stretch (Cactus mostly). Bartender could fit the timeline of her work with Jack, and Starry-Eyes might have stayed a track she has yet to work on lol (she improvised that track when she visited the kids’ hospital last year and promised to finish it... we’ll see).
  12. About the producer thing... lately, she’s been choosing producers with whom she’s comfortable working with, who won’t tell her what to do. Dan Auerbach admitted they had some arguments sometimes and he admitted that it was probably due to the fact that it is hard being a woman in this industry, because men want to tell her what to do, and she won’t have it. She has a vision of what she wants and won’t compromise on that. I don’t know how things were with her old producers (David Khane, Emile...). She’s friends with Dan Heath so I guess they get along well when they work. But as for the others, maybe she didn’t want them around these days to not be told what to do?
  13. If I'm right, it was for a new Bleachers album (it was a caption in his story). Besides, NFR is done and mastered. He's super busy. I'm sure it wasn't for NFR anymore. and Lana wasn't with him. Count on her to oversee everything that she does, no matter who is the producer lol The fact that we don't have news or official date might be due to the fact that she wants to keep her plan to release the poetry book before NFR, like she said she would. it's not a LFL situation where she goes back again in the studio to change things and add songs.
  14. I think Lanaboards and the rest of the fandom have very different tastes. UV and HM seem to be the two favorites here, but outside LB, they're not. Whether we agree or not, people must have loved the diverse sound of LFL.
  15. I honestly don't see pink either for this album... HM was the only one that could have had some tones of pink IMO.
  16. We all hope it's NFR related... but then again, we thought the pictures she posted on Thanksgiving were too.
  17. according to Lana del Rey Info on Twitter: ‘Lust for Life’ by Lana Del Rey has reached over 700M streams on Spotify, making it her 2nd album to reach this milestone and her 2nd most streamed album on the platform. Not bad for an album that almost everyone here calls trash and a mess
  18. Let’s hope it’s because she will soon begin the era officially.
  19. We know the first two songs they did together were Hope... and we don’t know the second one. But she talked about Bartender in the end of January last year... I think HIaB cape up later and she was so excited about it that she teased us with it.So, as for NFR’s lead single, album cover and preorder : I predict February 18 or 19.
  20. Locolanalove on Insta made this edit for the cover. I’d love that. https://www.instagram.com/p/BtFw_F6HZy6/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=cy9z6cx7cdfb
  21. I get the « I lost hype for this album » vibe. I completely lost it too. The music will be amazing for sure, it will probably be the record i’ll Listen most in 2019, but I don’t have the excitement of a pre-release I usually get with her. It was a bit too scattered and dragging on in time.
  22. I think we don’t have any news yet because she really wants to stick to her word: she’ll release the poetry book then NFR, like she said she would back in September. I wish it was the other way around though. At this point, the « beach picture » would be amazing as an album cover lol
  23. Hope was a strategic single to have us waiting a bit longer... though she didn’t realize that she is now passed the point where a single will have us satisfied for a long time.
