I don't really like when people say "all the songs sound the same" when it comes to Lana or any other artist, but at least six songs from evermore all blend together in my head for me they're extremely not memorable imo.
-
maybe she should take a two year break.

I don't mind the Watercolor Eyes vocals, but it and the new Rockerfeller snippet have the same sound/tune and I hate that?? I've never felt like Lana has rehashed a song besides Wild at Heart, but I love that song and I love How to Disappear. I don't want rehashes of Watercolor Eyes.

This and Folklore are my favorite Taylor albums. I love Jack's production sm.

She isn't enthusiastic about SOTB at all, you can tell But it will probably sound like WCE which is bad enough

Happy birthday to one of my favorite LDR albums yet. I admire this album so much because I think it takes such a strong step forward in presenting her strengths as both a poet and a musician. It conveys the essence of Lana in the simplest & most honest way possible. A genius songwriter, yet completely misunderstood for many different reasons. It makes me see beauty in the simplest things, such as jumping into a pool with your friends on a summer day, to the abstract of Russian poetry and karmic lineage. She shares her vulnerabilities, her past family, and reflects upon her art and how challenging it was navigating the early reception and current day backlash. The title of the album is absolutely perfect, and despite the simplicity of the imagery of the two videos, they still truly encapsulate the album as a whole. Super, super beautiful and underappreciated record, and I hope people click with it more down the line. Some of my favorite lyrics: TEXT BOOK: And then there was the issue of her I didn't even like myself, or love the life I had And there you were with shinin' stars standin' blue with open arms You touched the detriment most of the friends I knew already had You've got a Thunderbird, my daddy had one, too Let's rewrite history, I'll do this dance with you You know I'm not that girl, you know I'll never be Maybe just the way we're different could set me free BLUE BANISTERS: She said, "You can't be a muse and be happy, too You can't blacken the pages with Russian poetry And be happy" And that scared me Summer comes, winter goes Spring, I skip, God knows Summer comes, winter goes Spring, I sleep, Heaven knows Every time it turns to May All my sisters fly to me To paint, paint NECTAR OF THE GODS: What cruel world is this? Nectar of the Gods Heroin gold in my veins, you in my thoughts California, homeland of the Gods Once I found my way but now I am lost WILDFLOWER WILDFIRE: What I can promise is I'll lie down Like a bed of wildflowers And I'll always make the sheets Smell like gardenias wild at your feet And I nourish you hazily My father never stepped in When his wife would rage at me So I ended up awkward but sweet Later than hospitals and still on my feet Comfortably numb but with lithium came poetry -
I think most people here are saying they won't personally listen to leaks of the new music, but who gives a fuck if it's something from half a decade ago It that triggers you or you find that person is talking down to you, that really sounds like a you problem because I've seen more posts calling people hypocrites for a personal preference and respect for Lana than I have seen posts of attacking others if they dare listen to a leak.

I'm not listening to another leak again. She sounds devastated
-
This is so sad. I knew something was going on.
-
you got two albums last year, calm your tits

I'm here for the Taylor collab! I think it will make Lana's streams increase even more than they already have been. She really should consider aiming for a February/March release for the next album. Knowing her, it won't be until next summer that we hear new solo music
-
Lana can continue making albums in the vein of Honeymoon, Norman, Chemtrails, and Blue Banisters for the rest of her career and I would be the happiest person on the planet I call them her pretty albums (even though all of her records are pretty), and I PERSONALLY prefer them because of how she beautifully paints a sublime experience of poetry and music. My favorites.

My fav artist of all time, even the albums that don't resonate with me as much as the others (Debut, Volta, Utopia) I still very much respect. Everything from Fossora is amazing so far and it's looking very likely to be in my top three.

The duality of LDR stans. Wanting a recreation of her least pop record to date and a new Born to Die AT THE SAME TIME

I told y'all we're not getting anything this year When Ben says "soon," add six months or more from that date. First time he said soon about this album in July? Ok, then January at the earliest for a single. I predict a May release.
