  1. Bloody Moon One step above "Peroxide Princess" aka So Legit 2.0
  2. I can deal with a lot of things. QFTC, the selfie single covers (which I kind of like in a campy way ), etc. But I would unstan completely if she ever released songs called "Miss your ultraviolence" and "Lost my Lust for Life." "Where's Norman?" is kinda funny and less cringe, but still way too meta

    Text Book

From my perspective, we see the thread of the text book reappear in the chorus when she sings "let's re-write history." Her own personal history and the history of the world have been ingrained in text books, more often than not histories that have been passed down by the "victors," and she's attempting to reconcile with that fact while also wanting to continually reshape and reforge her own story.
  4. COCC came out two months ago, though In a year from now, COCC's stats will be worse than Honeymoon's today

The chorus to this song is a career highlight. Sublime
  6. They're on Spotify, you have to search for them https://open.spotify.com/album/761oXL0XFzpRE36GF1wn89?si=FBabeqc1RlSF1Z-dqRDZrw https://open.spotify.com/album/66crHVaecDZMH5QHd5r2xy?si=W9f5eTEvRAW-4FLiNA6O2g
  7. 100%. They're distinct enough from each other, but to me, these songs exist in the same universe and personal mindset as Chemtrails. It's her attempt to get at the sound she wanted for the album that she couldn't get through working with Jack.
  8. Yep. I see these songs as a development of Chemtrails, they're the sound she wanted the album to be like, that she couldn't get quite right by working with Jack. Same universe, just flourished.
  9. Fair enough, and I agree with you. In terms of sound, I don't buy the whole "THESE SONGS SOUND SO MUCH DIFFERENT THAN COCC WOW!" We're not talking about a BTD -> UV 180 here
  10. Really happy that a lot of people who I never expected to like the songs are enjoying them, but acting like these tracks are some huge leap from Chemtrails sonically is silly. If White Dress was released in this set of tracks, I would have thought they were from the same session. Following that, if I had no idea who produced Blue Banisters, I would have assumed it was a Jack track. You look and sound ridiculous
  11. The REAL tea is that people are going out of there way to drag the songs because they realized they can't use Jack Antonoff as a scapegoat anymore for why Lana went down a singer/songwriter path, creating atmospheric, poetic and melancholic songs instead of what they want: loud and bombastic. Their natural response, instead of saying and admitting to themselves "oh, I'm just not really into this new direction she's going in" is to call them "objectively bad." There's no more scapegoat to blame for Lana's artistic process.
  12. Trust me, I feel like all I listen to is Lana anymore.
  13. I just think it's so funny how it's pissing so many people off and she's continuing to stick it to them it makes me like the image even more!
  14. It's gonna be the album cover and i'm going to laugh
  15. Please don't slaughter me, but I like the Blue Banisters singer cover (and likely album cover) MUCH more than the Chemtrails album cover

  17. Manifesting a 14 track album. 3 tracks released every other week until the album
  18. Baby, I, I, I, I've been runnin' on stardust Alone for so long I wouldn't know what hot fire was Hot fire, hot weather, hot coffee I'm better with you It's strange, but it's true, darling
  19. the way i'm casually crying to these songs They really struck a chord at some emotions i've been covering, but not processing. Especially in regards to my parents and my life not turning out the way I intended.
  20. Right. She made "Lust for Life" for the fans, and I think that will be the last pop oriented album going forward. Whatever we thought about Norman, it clearly marked her transition into singer/songwriter territory.
  21. I hate being that person, but as Lana gets older, as it is with most artists who take themselves seriously, I very much doubt you'll be getting "bops" anymore. It's more than okay to say that you've outgrown or have become disinterested in someone. It's life, it happens
