Being over piano ballads doesn't quite make someone pretentious, especially when they aren't that impressive to begin with. Venice Bitch is much more impressive and forward thinking, both lyrically and in instrumentation, than either snippet. Just thought I would clear that up. 

We have heard songs exactly like Happiness and How to Disappear quite possibly more than fifty times at this point.

Music to my Eyes is the best duet on the soundtrack. It's so lovely

Omg Is This Happiness is amazing. And she's released worse tracks... Coachella as an example

Coachella is amongst her worst, but ITH is straight up garbage.

High as Hope is the most under appreciated pop album of 2018. I feel like it came and went, but it's such a gorgeous record. My second favorite from F+TM.

The video for Venice Bitch was actually not that bad and fit the song. Mariners Apartment Complex was lazy.

She's always been capable of doing it. She's said she wrote the music to be intentionally basic because it fits the character. Don't expect anything this on her next solo album

Joanne was 1,000 times more basic than any of these songs. Yeah, they may be basic pop songs, but Joanne was dull and lifeless, while these songs finally have the Gaga energy we've been missing. Of course LG6 will be nothing like these, but I have a feeling she'll finally be returning to form in terms of energy
