  1. I can make comparisons to any band/artist that I see fit. The introduction reminds me of On the Run by Pink Floyd and Climbing Up the Walls by Radiohead. This is a forum, and I'm allowed to express my thoughts as well. Not exaggerating anything.
  2. Lana's biggest hits since Summertime Sadness being produced by Jack, oh I know some people are mad.
  3. She doesn't really announce songs anymore, nor does she release songs on Fridays, the start of Billboard's tracking week
  4. I want to take the time to appreciate that this is the first LDR album cycle in a while that feels like 95% of us are united and excited for When I first read the W magazine interview where she contrasted the album to Honeymoon, brought up Swan Song, revealed her automated songwriting process for this record, and shared the opening lines to Fingertips, a song that seems like is super special to her since she mentioned it so many times now, I knew her magnum opus/Ray of Light moment was upon us. I just didn't know it would unite LanaBoards
  5. Highest first full day of streams for a Lana track despite having a 7M playlist reach compared to Ocean Blvd's 50M playlist reach. This album is about to destroy.
  6. Can we talk about how progressive rock the intro to A&W is It feels like a Pink Floyd track is about to begin
  7. kinda have a feeling Fingertips will be @littleredpartydress's least favorite song on the album, and i'll be singing DON'T FORGET ME to them every day after March 24th
  8. You always have the best analyses of Lana's songs and to other pop culture phenomenons that make me appreciate the tracks even more
  9. 8-12 will be the next Cruel World to West Coast flawless track run. I feel it in my blood
  10. Bestie, I think most of the songs, especially the ones about her family will be sad and twisted in some form... I think Sweet, Margarine, and Taco Truck will be exempt from this
  11. BoZ said the only "aggressive" songs on the album are A&W and the interludes, so I'm assuming the rest of the album will be pretty chill
  12. I think Sweet will be one of the most played tracks, actually! It's short and at the very beginning of the album. Songs in the last quarter of Lana's albums tend to get the Bartender effect because a lot of people check out before the closing track. Change, Nectar of the Gods, etc
  13. I don't not want music videos, but the lyricism of these first two songs are so evocative, strong, and vivid, that I see the imagery clearly in my mind. That's enough for me.
  14. Fishtail is going to be the Bartender of this album, the song people drag for no reason except that it's the song with the least amount of streams
  15. and we are team @lanasbottom period. I'm keeping my big mouth out of this one.
  16. I love A&W, but it's the first Lana track since maybe The Blackest Day that I think is a masterpiece, but I can't listen to it on repeat. Both tracks are just so heavy...
