  4. definitely a black one AND a white one, for white hot forever it'd be hot af if it was blue and white mixed
  5. She's saying she's a feminist, but not your conventional "STICK IT TO THE MAN" type its because she feels there's no room for her there
  6. It actually seems planned out this time tbh, she was saying 12-13 months the week NFR came out, so at least this sits within 13 months
  7. Watch, shes gonna go silent for another 8 weeks until we're closer to the album release and then Sept 5 will go by
  8. So can this thread now be a pre-release thread? We have a lot of work to do if this is gonna ever beat the NFR pre release
  9. That’s fine, think what you want. But since you’re questioning my knowledge of prog AND psych. Tell me, who are your favorite bands, artists in each genre? Other than Pink Floyd lol
  10. And what do you know about psychedelic or even prog music? You prolly hate Yes and love Genesis right? lmao okay....

  12. Both can actually go hand in hand! I think it has elements of both (and i’m seriously, seriously hoping we hear more mellotron on the new record and some weird vocal layer!!!) We need more guitars again and weird synth noises again too ughhhhhhh my ears are fucking ready
  13. I guess she meant it when she said “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have but i have it”
  14. Racism is racism. I never called it anything “reverse”, that’s nothing I said. What i’m saying is people can experience racism from other people, no matter who they are. And it does happen, to anyone of any race. You’re correct about systematic racism, though. So i do agree with you.
  15. I do want to apologize if i’m coming off one way or another, but the thing about racism is that’s exactly how I see it. And it might be wrong, but as far as I’m concerned, this is what I know to be true. Being hateful towards anyone because of race is still wrong and doesn’t do anyone any good, whatever you’re race may be. I see it as two separate forms of racism, and prejudice is a large description of both forms of racism.
  16. Nobody said anything about reverse racism or sexism. That isn’t a thing, simply because racism is racism and sexism is sexism. There’s nothing reverse about it. Systematic racism and prejudicial racism are completely different things. But prejudice is not only racism, so prejudice is not the correct word for it. Your comment about power is true, in certain communities. Systematically, I agree, POC and women do not hold that power. And it should not be that way. But within society, anyone can experience anything, specifically on a lower level than POC and women do. But that does not dismiss the fact that it can and does happen to some people who do not fit into the minority groups who face these complications more often, if not daily.
  17. I’m explaining the difference between systemic racism and prejudicial racism. You can ignore my post as much as you like, it doesn’t change the fact of the matter. It’s not about belief if you think you can or cannot be racist towards white people, but you can continue to be wrong and that’s okay. Ive given you an explanation about racism. For all you know, I could be black, hispanic, Asian, and still be making the same point. Anyways, have a good day.
  18. I don’t want to get too much into this argument, but systemic racism doesn’t happen to white people, but white people can and do experience racist remarks and beliefs like any other person of any race. Racism is not exclusive to any one certain people. Prejudice is defined to include racism, sexism, ageism, etc with a negative idea of other people based without facts. You don’t have to believe it, but it’s not about belief, it’s about the definition of what makes racist people, racist. Racism is defined as the belief that one race is superior than another. And in saying white people cannot experience racism, is almost racist in a way. Think about Hitler— he hated Jews, who were a mix between Mediterranean and white. Some were basic white, others darker. But he hated them all the same, based off of a stereotype based off of nothing. That is prejudicial racism. Which is racism, nonetheless. Anyone of any race can experience anything. Its how you perceive it that matters. Some become racist by experiencing racism. “He called me a ____ but i’m better than them because everyone i know within my race doesn’t act like that. I hate them.” It’s a selfish ideology that one is better or superior based off of race, no matter the race. Hatred grows and racism follows. It’s just like saying men cannot experience sexism. SYSTEMATIC sexism, yes, you’d be correct. But that does not mean that men in society do not experience sexism. There’s plenty of evidence that supports the fact that men can and do experience sexism, as women can. Women face more sexist struggles than men do within the system. BUT, women can be just as bad as men when it comes to a superiority complex than insights anger, hate, manipulation, etc. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
  19. oof sis, this is not a good look
  20. You’re not wrong, although the week after NFR dropped, she said she wants the next record out within 12-13 months, so maybe she planned this album better than the last. At the same time, it seems as though she might’ve been happy but she was also planning this post. About a month or two after NFR! dropped, she posted a pic of an article praising NFR! and she said she kind of feels bad for Norman (album)’s little sister she’s cooking up , most likely bc she knows it will get the lack of respect it deserves and will be dismissed and prolly hated compared to NFR
  21. Because she simply does not give a fuck. And i think that’s been blatant from the start, she doesn’t care about what everyone says AND THE FEEDBACK FROM THIS LETTER PROVES HER POINT. Anyone else can say anything that seems “irresponsible” or off putting, yet when she does it she’s trashed and crucified. I think she’s saying she’s done listening to critics and everyone else and she’s going the route she wants, fuck everything and everyone. I think it was apparent in her face when she didn’t win the grammy for best album. She was stunned, shocked, and felt snubbed. SHE DID EVERYTHING THEY WANTED, even after naming her record “Norman FUCKING Rockwell”, but even with an album title like this, she still ended up with the best reviewed record last year
