  1. The only thing that she said that’s good is ending Obamacare which was fucked. I’m sure it helped some, but for people like me, it made healthcare unaffordable when I made $10/hour & because I didn’t get it, I was then charged at tax time. Once I did get the exemption but then as soon as I made a little more it was still unaffordable bc i’d be paying 1 entire paycheck per month for it.... which is ridiculous. That’s already over with so idk why it’s relevant Do away with the insurance system as a whole. Fuck that. Just lower healthcare prices out of pocket as a whole and be reasonable. For those of you outside of the US, my local hospital pays less than $0.10 per IV fluid bags, but they charge $100 a pop. Fucking needs to stop. This is how “cApItAlIsM” only works to fuck the people, low to mid income. Sorry rant about that over with. Abortion... i really don’t have a whole lot to say about it, because i’m not a woman. Let people live, if they want an abortion let them get one. Don’t gatekeep, we’ve already seen what happens when you ban something, look at the war on drugs. The person still gets what they want, except illegally, more dangerous, and can be life threatening. It’s far more dangerous to ban abortions. Either way, I’d vote for letting abortions be done legally bc i think it’s the right thing to do. I’ll never understand republicans’ want to control someone else’s body. It’s absolutely beyond me... As for gay marriage.... she sounds like a dumbass Karen there. Fuck her.
  2. what’s weird is it says it’s not available in my region (US) but with that link, i could listen to it and add to library but when i tried to play it from meh library it says “this is currently not available in your region” -_- apple get your shit together
  3. it’s actually really good what are y’all on? hallucinogenics?
  4. Oranges also symbolize happiness & restarting, think of the sun in the morning. I think Lana chose it because she's finally becoming happy whichever way you look at it. She's always wanted to be a poet. They were also in the music video for UV & NFR among others. I think in a way it's a contrast compared to what she's saying or singing about, which could be conceived as dark or sad
  5. so do the republicans too. i hate them all. still third party here, tbh I think it's only fair that we let the third party people into the debates (but it's never going to be likely, sadly) but ayyyy i got my absentee ballot coming in the mail to my new address so whooo
  6. hope bc it's a dangerous thing to have at this point
  7. sooo lana tweet about the album challenge?
  8. okay cool so this was done a while ago, like... months ago now
  9. yall she’s literally playing the part when everyone called her crazy and a karen during the question for the culture. it’s literally a jab at everyone who made that comment hahahaha i love her so much....
  10. @lanadelrey when was her nails blue? so we know what this was shot?
  11. this could also be (and i’m just taking a guess) in tribute to Nico, as in The Velvet Underground & Nico
  12. yall did she fucking do this after everyone called her Karen holy.... this has me dying
  13. wait do y’all think she did this video after people called Lana a Karen? yall omg
  14. I SWEAR THE CRITICS WILL TAKE THE BAIT AND SHE’LL BE IN HER BATHTUB AT HOME ON HER BROKEN SHITTY IPHONE 6 CACKLING HAHAHAHA
  15. this is exactly what i was thinking, she’s really playing a part this cycle holy shit. i wonder if the record will have any of this as a caricature
  16. I just wanna say real quick too, i’m not speaking only about your comments— i couldn’t go through the entire thread reading the same opinions so idk where your opinion lies about this, i just saw your comment and quoted it in my first post about this. It’s just a general thing i’ve noticed on the first page or two about it and it’s really shocking to see considering how progressive most people here are or pretend to be. But just know this isn’t directed to you only, but to generally everyone who’s feeling upset or angry at this interview. It’s refreshing for me, to say the least.
  17. But they go hand in hand. Misogyny is denying a woman the right to build herself up — to say it’s not right for her to be proud of herself or that she’s not allowed to feel her way of thinking is ahead of the times. Which for all we know, she could be, considering we’re not in her head at all. I think a lot of the anger here is coming from a misogynistic point of view without knowing it— the kind that she’s talking about during the question for the culture. It’s almost a jealous agony, and it’s agonizing to read these opinions because I think they’re unfair. People can feel how they want— fair or unfair, but I think that’s where these lie. It’s actually really sad because after she’s been torn down and torn down by nearly every critic over the years and then built up after one critically acclaimed record, is she not okay to feel this way? My god, she’s has successful tour after tour, album after album — at some point she has to see herself as a successful artist and at some point she has to build her ego back up again to ignore the critics when her next records come out and they try to drag her again. To be able to block out the hateful comments that could even be hurtful, even if she doesn’t show it or make it known that those comments are that way
  18. What’s so weird though is the same people who are now saying, “Ugh, she’s egotistical!” are the same ones who will tell other people that they’re misogynistic in other situations. When she’s allowed to feel these things. She’s allowed to build up her ego— we’ve been exhaustive fans who’ve stayed by her side this long. what did you think would happen? And why is that wrong for her to do so? Men do it all the time. And yet— she’s not allowed?! Okay so... why? Especially when she doesn’t share her personal thoughts every day or her political affiliations, thank god. She’s not the type to publicly support any candidate which i’m so glad about, but she’s sitting around her house or with friends, you think she never thinks about things? She literally has a degree in philosophy. It’s wild the times we’re in. There’s a difference between someone building up their ego to insult or deny feelings of people who are “below” them, which would make me feel more close to the way how some people here are feeling, and the way she’s building her ego. We’ve all said she’s a great artist and realistically doesn’t have a bad record! So why... is she not allowed to be a little cocky? Honestly, some men really love women who are cocky and have the history to back it up— to prove they have a reason to be cocky and it threatens a man’s own ego.
  19. i definitely think she’s been here :3 can’t prove it but i think so! ben and ed hate the forum lol
  20. oh wow, oh wow. i have so much to say. over the last year, this album has grown on me so much. the contrast against what LFL sounded like with this record sounding so differently is what was needed. she absolutely followed up LFL with an album that painted her as even more of a future classic, and now i know what she meant when she called Honeymoon a future retro record. this album is even moreso future retro, i can’t wait until it’s 20 years old and i go back and play the vinyl and it’s just so timeless. the time it cooked was so worth it once we got to hear the final product. some may say it’s boring or typical LDR but it’s... not at all. there maybe 1-2 songs i don’t care for so much but i’ll still even listen to those, i don’t typically skip any on this one anyways.... happy 1 year birthday norman FUCKING rockwell. your title is even iconic. nobody else in the alt pop world would ever.
  21. the album cover looks so david bowie omg
